Are Arbites OP or Not?

What about the new Mace and Shotgun?

I don’t think those are doing anything unintended afaik? Possibly overtuned though

the executioner Mark VIII Is plasma gun levels of busted

You can see other planets if you look at the windows in the hub. There is no local setting excuse, they could have drop jungle mission on atoma’s moon, blah-blah mobian six is trying to capture some nuke depot, secret admech lab, etc. Same with winter biome, just another planet in the same solar system.

Wait until you see the MK3

And no, the MK8 isn’t as good as a plasma gun. It’s great, I love it. but it’s not THAT good.

LOL the puncture bug was fixed and the razor jaw was fixed with a much more serious broken bug, proof is in your screenshot.

Castles, mines, sewers, farms, forests, mountains, caves, church, towns, big bridges, massive spiral tree, great visual skittergate.

VT2 has a lot of creativity in it’s environments.

Darktide creativity does have a lot of detail, the furniture and writings on the walls, illumination from light sources, but yea get the feeling current trend will continue in future maps in architecture.

that weapon seems extremely unnecessary to me. yeah, you can kill crushers with it
but why when you already make a mockery of carapace as arbites? and it takes 1/3 of the magazine away while making it arguably worse at spread-cleave killing a group of bulwarks/maulers/ragers (where this weapon shines brightest). Mk3 is where its at for nonsense killfeed takeovers.

Arbites marketing in a nutshell

Not OP, though.

LOL, speak of the devil

Is darktide suddenly alot easier or is Arbitrator class just OP?

That would be detrimental to currently “balanced” weapons and the breakpoints they rely on to be effective. Enemy combinations, new enemies and trait modifiers can change the difficulty without negatively affecting weapon breakpoints in the same way buffing enemy HP would.

Final toll, Cranial Corruption are two types of modifiers that can make melee enemies more dangerous.

Scab Radio operator can come back as a “support” Specialist that provides increased Sniper presence and suppression immunity to Gunners/Shooters/Reapers with a “rally” ability for stronger area denial.

Then there’s the suggestions of Plaguebearers, Glitchlings, and Cultist Psykers that could modify the battlefield in dynamic ways.

Passively healing, stagger resistant Plaguebearers - using Blessings of Nurgle to periodically grant nearby melee allies Cranial Corruption to force players into prioritizing him over other enemies with higher raw damage output, or reposition. While incredibly slow themselves, their periodic blessings, passive healing and stagger resistance would make them a force to be reckoned with.

Cultist Psykers - granting allies defensive protections through abilities like Telekine shield.

Glitchlings - Specialists that don’t deal hardly any damage, but restrict Combat Abilities periodically of players they target until they’re killed.

Might this be the final call for Fatshark to address all those clearly unintentional weapon blessing + blitz + ability + bleed + soulblaze + weapon special interactions?

this particular instance is unrelated at least but yeah they need to fix that

However, if Fatshark made both the Arbites class and its weapons this OP, how do they even plan to nerf themđŸ€” If they go with a mild nerf that doesn’t really change much, Arbites will still remain a one-man army class, and most hardcore players will likely quit the game. On the other hand, if they nerf Arbites down to the level of the current Zealot or Veteran, players who relied on that crutch will be hit with a harsh reality and find themselves unable to do much at all, and that might cause the majority of players to quit the game altogether.

Well, they could also buff all the damages source while also bloat enemy’s HP, tuning it a bit and come out with more proper balance solution.

Then they could just say ‘we didn’t nerf anything’ and most player would be none the wiser.

I thought a game where the team takes 4k damage, 12 downs and 2 revives would be called somewhat differently.
I don’t wanna be rude or put you down, but that’s past mid runs, meh runs and maybe even past almost left without saying GG’s even thou we made it runs

I never said everyone on the team was good at the game. Again, randoms, no comms, me playing stupid. We curbstomped. The map was done in 27 minutes. Those less skilled players were able to still put out average damage on a difficulty they shouldn’t have queued for, irrespective of the damage they took. If you look at the equipment we were all off-meta, with me pulling over 1m damage in under 30 minutes, despites my blessings being sub-par, and my weapons being 300 rating. If anything, your point exacerbates the problem. People are having their lack of skill compensated for, with no-brain mechanics that make them think they can hang.

I shouldn’t be able to run into horde, spam M1 and walk out of a 3+ minute fight with ~10 damage taken because my toughness regen is so cracked. I shouldn’t be out-DPSing my gunpsyker build regularly on a class that has an on-call 10 second invincibility button, on top of being orders of magnitude tankier before that. I shouldn’t be spamming a duckbill shotgun at a sniper 80m away because I know only 1 pellet needs to hit to kill it. I shouldn’t be clearing everything short of a Bulwark with that same shotgun in under 6 seconds because I spammed it at head level. I shouldn’t be seeing people in public lobbies spamming melee at Plague Ogryns, not bothering to dodge and just face-tanking their hits, and only taking ~30hp a hit because they’re able to generate a 3rd of their toughness back by smacking it twice. Nor should I see people having an on-call regenerating horde nuke in H40 by pulling out their Rupture Boltgun before hitting their blitz. The people calling for buffs to the other classes to “bring them up” to this level, either don’t know what they’re asking for, or want the game to be a “delete everything on screen” game. Like a bad MMO where you don’t even know what people are doing because everything just dies.

The class, and the equipment it was released with, need to be toned back. With no limits on class stacking, what reason is there for me right now to ever run anything other than Arbitrator or Ogryn? Wanna play Vet? Arbitrators ranged game is comparable, and more survivable, and he still can have regenerating grenades. Psyker? You can match Psykers damage output, and you’re way more survivable because you don’t rely on peril or crits. Zealot? The only thing you have over Arbitrator is stealth. All damage output on the class has a higher skill ceiling with way less build diversity if you want to run something that can play upper difficulty content. The only thing Zealot brings to the table Arbitrator doesn’t is Stealth. You could even argue Arbitrator has an edge over Ogryn because he can be just as, if not more survivable, has better horde clear, a smaller hitbox, and can still stagger-lock everything in a sizeable area with any build you take. The only thing Ogryn eeks out a clear win in, is boss damage.

psykers could also work as the sorcerers do in vermintide doing an aoe that does damage and causes the squad to bescattered

I don’t know why the /s, I think this is the most likely outcome, but the timeframe is the bigger issue because the game will remain in this state for some time or get more power creep before it gets better.
