I appreciate your obsession with numbers, but the class and multiple of its weapons are FUBAR level of OP.
The damage output, weapons which have it all, the TDR levels, the ease it regens toughness, anti-monster damage, broken talent and blessing combos, a dog which is your personal anti-special buddy in a game without broken audio cues. It’s THE journalism difficulty level class.
In the right hands, the branch is also strong. However, Arby is strong in everything, and in addition to the fact that he has only 5 cells without talents, but even they are very good. However, what is most striking is the ults, take the same Aquila and compare it with the choir. Imagine that if you have access to both defense and attack at the same time. But all ults have a limitation, you take one talent and block another, Arby does not have such a problem. So you don’t even have to think about whether he is strong or not, when you do not think about what to choose, but take everything at once in each ult.
The reason i study things is to find out why he is OP. Like a lot of people claimed his melee weapons “go nuts”! But ive tried the best builds and its actually just mid. His clear times get lapped by almost double with a good zealot and matched by a vet in many cases. So whats going on? Well hes just super freaking safe, staggering everything the way he does. His gun damage is kinda wild however.
His melee seems “nuts” for the people because of the high sustain via toughness regen from light attack spam (same as the Ogryn Club), but as I said earlier it only really matters when the team is underperforming, with a good coordinated one it can be skipped for more utilty/damage.
you don’t need melee on this class at all. currently with shotgun you don’t have to dodge, think or swap weapon a single time, just walk straight forward and 1 shot everything including bosses xD what a fun game
Do you have some data on ranged guns? I was afraid that the shotguns would suck in high havocs, because they need to compete with weapons like rumbler, inferno, bolter, flamer or recon. They feel like in a good spot comparatively.
They will need to create a difficulty above Auric. Because Havoc is something that a lot don’t like, and they have screwed the difficulties, like auric.
Except if really there is a rework of auric… But what we saw ia, for now, just disappointing.
I think they put themselves in a corner. Arbites fully embraced the top prevalent power level. Now it’s tough to nerf anything.
You want to nerf plasma? Vets are already crying with the plasma.
You want to nerf Arbites? Players will cry because they paid money for it.
I think the way forward is to modernize vet and zealot skill tree and then stealth nerf everything by increasing enemy power, so you don’t need to throw five bosses into the mix to make the game challenging. That might take a year or more though in Fatsharks timeline.
Yup I fear they decided to leave Auric and Maelstrom as end for Quickplay, and decided to focus on Havoc for future difficulty changes in terms of modifiers, bosses etc.
Havoc has nice bosses, nice modifiers, could be put into Quickplay somehow. Map wise more limited than Quickplay.
When no event on Auric is back to dog modifiers mostly.
Idk man, I kept seeing people saying this but to me it just seem like more clunkier version of Weapon Specialist.
The 15/30 stack buff is really hard to utilize since it bascially goes away as soon as you swap weapon so you’re either forced to stick with melee/range weapon until all stacks are used up or switch and wasted it
Building up stack also take quite a while and there are a lot of engagement where you need to swap weapon around a lot and couldn’t build up enough stack to take full advantage when you needed it the most.
Compared that to Weapon Specialist’s buff that is a lot easier to proc on demand as long as you have an enemy to kill.
Problem. Havoc is not something I want to play.
But, like for solo game mode, I guess we won’t have any answer from Fatshark.
But if their plan is to try to push all players to Havoc… I won’t.
As I said, my main complain about this game mode is the lack of ammo.
And I don’t like the derank. Havoc is not for me.
But they are destroying what I play… As I have always said, I won’t jump in Havoc, no matter what they try for this.
I get it. I just think it’s a pity they don’t take some of the havoc modifiers and put them onto aurics. I mean some are very obnoxious, but some are also nice and it would be cool to experience them without fading light and with aurics higst.
But that’s what I think too - The push for Havoc because it has more rank grind increasing engagement time via that mechanic itself. It does make you play more with that rank target. Quickplay no target, jump in and out casual. People don’t want to spend time party finder, interview, talk class selection for who etc.
Yes solo mode please, maybe then bonus is avoiding the server latency if actually offline as well.
Looking forward to Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core PvE coop and Killing Floor 3. Likely they won’t be “better” in combat, but at least they might add new things regularly to make it more “interesting” like how HD2 keeps adding new things all the time.
I watch for Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core
for now I enjoy a lot Dune… but I will need a FPS game
And this one, has something appealing. The fact you always get new weapons and maps is something great.
I would hope that I am wrong and that they don’t try to justify all the time spent (lost?) on havoc… but I begin to doubt.
So I wanted al;so to share them my feeling about this.
