Hi @InsightfulDemon,

Which GPU do you have?

An AMD Radeon RX 6700M @FatsharkLev

Thank you! This may be the same as a known issue effecting players with AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU’s.

  • Users with AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT cards will encounter a crash on launch due to an AMD driver-related issue
    • AMD are investigating

We’ll need to investigate. Can you please provide a crash report or console log?

  1. Update your video drivers from AMD

  2. Ensure you are forcing the AMD card as you have a laptop, via the AMD Catalysts (or whatever they’re calling that these day) so that the darktide.exe is explicitly using the AMD card

@FatsharkLev

When this issue occurs I get no console logs or crash reports. The crash report log opens but nothing gets logged.

I’ve already updated the drivers, but how do I force the AMD card? @Satoru

This should guide you on, but basically you have to select the darktide.exe and then force it to use the AMD card

@InsightfulDemon, ah I see! :frowning: I’ve passed this information on internally, as it’s possible the known crash could be effecting more AMD cards.

Let me know if the suggestions Satoru has posted above have any success though!

Unfortunately, that did not work.

Unfortunately the suggestion did not work for me, could possibly work for others hopefully though. @FatsharkLev

Thank you for confirming - I suspect this is something AMD will need to investigate and aid us to resolve. Apologies for the inconvenience :frowning:

@FatsharkLev
Found the problem, I had to add to my exception list on my anti virus (Trend Micro in my case). Might be a solution for others! Thanks for all the help regardless @FatsharkLev @Satoru
