Anti-cheat system does not trust me or the other player

Issue Type (Required):

Error - COULDNT_CONNECT

Issue Description (Required):

I’m having trouble playing V2 online in the Official Realm. When I try to join a lobby or when another player tries to join mine, I get an error message stating that the “anti-cheat system does not trust me or the other player.”

I’ve checked multiple support threads on the Fatshark forums and followed most of the suggested troubleshooting steps.

I have already tried reinstalling the game and moving it to a different drive.
I have also deleted the “certificates” folder and reinstalled both EAC and EAC_EOS.
Additionally, I have forced all executables to run in compatibility mode and as an administrator.

The issue persists for both me and a friend of mine. We purchased the game yesterday (March 11, 2025) and have not installed any modifications.

For clarification, we are only able to play in the Modded Realm. The Official Realm remains inaccessible for any multiplayer activity due to the mentioned error.

[PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):

Sorry to hear this @Aluminio

So we can look into this, please can you provide a console log from a session that you try to connect in Official realm and encounter the EAC error:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names

Could you also please zip the following folder %AppData%\EasyAntiCheat\ and upload it here, or send it in a DM to me?
(If you can’t upload it here for any reason, if you can attach it to a support ticket here that would be great too)

To do so:

  1. Press Windows + R
  2. Enter ‘%appdata%’ and press ‘Ok’
  3. Right-click on the folder ‘EasyAntiCheat’ and select ‘Compress to ZIP file’
  4. Upload the ZIP file to us

Thanks in advance!
