I think it would help a lot with cases like the last Vox, where people are really confused and a CM had to spend time just correcting a needless confusion.
The Emoji aren’t a problem, it’s a set up, as long as the pay off is done well enough it’s alright.
Well sure, but are you not suggesting some pre-public posting feedback by a small, select group of community members on how to deliver their communication? Because that is not normal. They may as well hire someone for that.
I don’t see this happening any time soon; it’s really not a smart business move to just let random community members/the public see inner workings unless it’s for publicity. AFAIK, no company does this, for good reason. The idea is good faith, but let’s be real; plenty of people report back things to external sources under the radar while under NDA; I’m sure FS is aware of this. I think they’re getting plenty of feedback from the community on how they communicate at this point.
Yeah I’m not sure a hypothetical small, select group is going to tell them anything that swathes of the community are not metaphorically screaming at them already. I can’t imagine they don’t know what the communities general sentiment is. Question is how they interpret it and intend to act on it.
I think we should evaluate the comms that were used to hype the update after the update arrives. Anything before then is operating with incomplete information.
