Hi there,
i would like to ask why darktide has no account wide progression like vermintide 1 and 2?
If you dont know in vermintide 1 and 2 your weekly quests, crafting materials and trinkets (in darktide they are called curiosities) are account wide. Once you have them all your characters can use them.
That was awesome, and no one disliked that.
But now in darktide every character has to grind his own weekly quests, crafting materials, money and curiosities.
Why?
This is a huge step back from the previous games. I dont know how everyone feels about this but i am an adult and my time is too valuable for this. Just looking at this fact and thinking about it makes me not want to play darktide at all. And thats a little sad.
I would be very thankful if someone from fatshark could tell us if account wide progression will ever come to darktide or if it is set in stone that it will stay like it is now.

95% of people want this. There’s a small minority that defends the siloing for some reason.

Reminds me of WoW SL’s and Blizzards instance of making everything character specific.

Because the siloed progression is part of the Fatshark’s ineffable design.

Honestly even saying 95% seems like hyperbole since I don’t think I’ve seen anyone argue in favour of siloing even if they want to preserve the system as is. I think it’s pretty universally disliked.
I saw one person on the forums. Some people just seen to like grind. I disagree though. This game is too grindy, to the detriment of the player base and continued sales.
