A Havoc 40 story

So I actually managed to get into a Havoc 40 group - with how hard this current rotation is, there aren’t many and they don’t want anyone who hasn’t already cleared H40 . . . That said, it’s a good group. Ogryn, Arby, Psyker, and I’m support Zealot (yeah, it still works).

Despite it being stims+rotten armor, everything goes insanely smoothly for most of the map. In the wine cellar, though, the Psyker makes one mistake, and gets one-shot. Okay, well that’s manageable. We clear the bosses, the captains, the horde, press forward.

The game moves the spawn of the Psyker, of course, before we get there. Okay, well that’s nice.

We push forward. Heading down the steps towards the boardwalk that leads to the final bridge, we get another Captain and a Pogryn. Pogryn throws the Ogryn into the corner and body blocks them while 15 bombers cover everything in flames. The Ogryn goes down, we get him up, but then he dies again. We’re all out of ammo at this point, too, despite being very frugal because the game just decided we don’t find any ammo this game.

Then the Ogryn dies. He’s still stuck in the corner. I don’t see what happens to the Arby, but I get tracked mid-dodge by an overhead that does not physically touch me and die instantly (my passive had been popped by the fire).

So fuuuuun. /s

its all rng in the end, gotta have faith in probability

Yeah it really is luck of the draw with the game director …which would be totally fine if you could just freely try again. Sigh.

delet this

Huh, I saw the notification about the long post in my email from ava, I did not see a problem with it. I mean, I know all about the Death Spiral, but there was nothing wrong with him saying it lol.

I gotta say, though; not sure if my death was from lag or the actual bug where enemies will just track you perfectly despite an appropriate dodge. It was probably most likely lag.
