What a insane momment to start the day on
a fine addition to my 500 aquilas from the last skull event
Wow, so exciting! Cant wait to play the the same missions with the exact same modifier 1000-ish times to get 500 aquillas that can get me a hat or recolor of a weapon, or a piece of junk dangling off of the weapon.
Look if it gets them to keep doing it and Aquilas become grindable I’ll be happy. Well, happier. It’s a step in the right direction.
How many millions of dollars would they have lost if it was 1,000 aquila so that you could actually buy something?
You gotta be able to pull more than one lever at a time in this industry.
My drive for drip comes from wanting to play the game and that is in serious jeopardy at the moment.
TBH I’m a simple man. I like new mechanics a little bit, doing them for a tangible reward just makes it ‘work’ for me more than the other events could’ve.
Plus, y’know, this is one aspect of a bigger thing.

This event is specifically titled by the devs as “Anniversary event”.
They vey clearly worded this statement so we know that they give us Aquilas because it’s the 3rd Darktide’s anniversary and 10th year anniversary of all Tide games.
Just letting you all know before you get excited that FatShark will do that with every event from now on.

No, this is 100% on Fatshark. Warframe is also owned by Tencent and they don’t do any of that predatory monetisation, stop blaming other entities for Fatshark’s greed

Spend money to buy a frame OR
- grind for a relic that has a random chance of dropping
- grind to open said relics that have a random chance of dropping a piece of warframe/weapon
- grind resources to build the piece.
- build the piece of said frame which takes 24 hours OR you can pay us now to do it quicker
- once you’ve paid us/or waited like a shmuck you now have to build the actual frame which takes 3 whole days or you know… PAY US
How does that now sound predatory to you? The whole process is specially designed to take as much time as possible so that you’re practically incentivized to pay them money at any step of the way.

Man it’s a damn good job Tyl Regor’s VA does such a cracking job, I’ve still got the mental scars from all that all these years later 
Full frame crafting times for both aspects… 
- Relic grind happens naturally, you don’t even need to have the specific relic to get the part because you will always have 3 other players in your squad also opening relics. Also that’s only for the prime version of the Warframe that are only a small stat boost over the regular warframes that are most of the time much easier to farm
- You can open a relic in less than a minute, if we take the average duration of a Darktide mission you could open up to 30 relics if you are efficient
- Resources are only a problem in the very early game and at this point you shouldn’t even be farming for primes yet, by the time you get all you need to start farming prime parts efficiently you should have enough ressources to craft anything in the game
- and 5. are fair
You are also forgetting the most important part : Platinum is tradable and if you don’t want to do any of the above you can just go trade the rare items you got by just playing the game for Platinum and skip any part you don’t want
