I bought the game for my son and we´ve been playing for a couple of days. Then suddenly during a game he gets low fps, like 20 fps. I discover his HD is FULL! I mean super full, 0 bytes free. So I uninstall some games and when we try again and the games starts fine, but after running around in the lobby for a minute or two the game drops fps until it´s down to like 1-2 fps.
Other games work fine.
I have a RTX 3060 ti and I don’t have such low fps. There might be other issues with your kids PC. But it’s difficult to troubleshoot your problem with so little information.
Are other processes running the the background? Does he record while playing?
What other games does he play and how well do they run? It might be interesting getting a more direct comparison.
What type of PC does he have? CPU, memory and so on. Darktide is very much CPU limited.
What are his driver settings, game launcher settings (How many CPU cores/threads?), and in-game graphics settings like. What resolution? Is DLSS enabled? Texture quality, lightning and fog quality, mesh quality, and so on.
