Zeolot feels

I love zealot, but lately I’ve feel like I’m lacking in game compared to everyone else. I’m not being burden to the team, I know for sure, but I am not getting that powerful feel lately. I mostly run a martyr build with evisorator and revolver. I feel like I hit people once and someone else finishes them off all too often. Can I get some feedback on what I can improve to feel more useful.

First of all, wrong forum.
Second, can you post the build and the weapons?

Just rush in and kill everything and don’t die.
Throw knife’s at disablers and rush into giant gunner hordes with 50% dam res on crit and carve them up.
Just keep doing it till you figure out how to weave in and out of combat.

I have, as I said, I’m not struggling to survive and often am in no trouble doing my role during runs. I just feels that I’m not contributing at times when range just deletes people.

Then delete the range enemy’s in melee.
I use combat axe 5 or 2, heavy sword 9 and devil claw 4 pretty much every run.
I just rush around one shotting every scab gunner and heavy gunner and tie them up in melee and zealots the best at that especially with how fast you can reset your ult with crits.
If I ran around just sniping with the revolver I would just feel like a super weak vet.

If you’re going for crit build on evis, why go for martyrdom?
Here’s the example of bog standart crit evis build for me. It mainly comes down to find horde - go into it swinging, press F when you need toughness/guaranteed crit, horde dead.
Curios are +stam +hp +wound btw.
PS: martyrdom is not really good outside of tank CC builds.

This is my crit build but it’s very similar to the movment tree one.
15% toughness restore on dodge is great now that it counts on range attacks.

I play a Martyrdom build as well. And as a Zealot, I feel that your job is to keep your teammates alive, so they can do their job. You take the beating, so they don’t have to. Scores are meaningless. What counts is victory.

You can pretty much go full “nobody will touch your allies if everybody is dead” mode instead of tanking. And it is a viable strategy.

Your assumption is valid. There is no objective reason to pick zealot after 13, nothing that he does best. Ogryn does more dmg and is tankier with more CC, while shouty vet is a superior support.

The only unique playstyle left is the loner knife, “I run ahead and kill all the mobs that would die anyhow before my team could, ruining their fun, while padding my dmg stats” one. It’s fun for a short while, but ultimately not very useful. Or even harmful, if you bite on a bigger chunk you can chew, and dump the aggro on your team going invis while they are already preoccupied.

The absence of attainable rending has a large role to play it in, zealot is a downright liability on scab melee, you’d always be better having someone else.

Just do this

HP curios are fondamental even if you go martyrdom, (you need as much hp you can get for holy revenant) you’ll end up with 376 max hp and you’ll heal by 100 when martyrdom procs, keeps you rolling trough the map just fine

(Locked perks on curios are very much optional, i’m just rolling with what i have’')

They said they’re not struggling to stay alive, more so not feeling their overall contribution and DPS, so why would you recommend they sacrifice even more damage for more survivability?

It sounds to me that OP is just playing a difficulty that has become too easy for them. Threats are being killed before putting serious pressure on the team. They probably just need to either A) swap to crit build if they just wanna kill everything faster and spam Ult to reach enemies quicker or B) go up difficulties so there’s enough pressure for them to actually feel their contribution to getting through a run.

His inventory definitely suggests the difficulty isn’t too low. But even if it was for argument’s sake, if his DPS currently isn’t pulling weight then it’ll just be negative after moving up to a higher difficulty, so that’s still not a valid solution either. This game is just fundamentally biased towards threat reduction, which zealots have the least of currently.

7 wounds zealots gets 6 stacks of martyrdom instead of 3, that would be 24% damage difference when they are low hp wich is nothing on the eviscerator, its a high risk low reward build, i’ve got 1800 hours, i’ve tried it of course cause funny, but let me tell you i felt 0 difference in the damage department

he says he is useless when the gunners shows up, this mean to me he is ducking behind his cover with his zarona while his team gets murdered, that just won’t do, my solution is meant to increase the overall DPS by keeping you in melee despite everything

as a melee zealot you want to be able to trade your hp to get stuck in, i believe everyone should run the most HP in auric, with every class, but especially the zealot

Yeah martyr are not good at crits so you should change any crit stats on the eviscerator

ah yeah, shred is bad, you want bloodletter, the second bless is locked, but i would go with this

Idk man, zealot currently feels like one of the best classes in the game. Not only does it have interesting design that requires some brainpower to use effectivly, its very strong.

My group nearly wiped on Auric the other day vs double bosses, and I was playing my zealot and just soloed it, I dont think I could do that on any other career.

Vet is fine but feels poorly designed
Psyker is OP but is the worst designed class in the game
Ogryn is very good, maybe a bit broken
Zealot is very strong, and fun to play

Try stealth/bleed zealot with boltgun, throwing knives, and combat knife. May not be the gameplay style you want but pretty effective. Go far left at the end for crits giving cool down reduction.

Quite the contrary, zealot is the weakest class for the simple fact he is balanced with a well-designed tree.

There are no mandatory nodes / weapons you must have to perform at peak efficiency, but when everyone else is OP, that leaves you the odd man out.
