Please name me a melee weapon for Psyker that takes less skill than duelling sword
If youâre playing on high Havoc (idk if itâs since âEmperorâs Fading Lightâ or anything of the sort), the Director will not have mercy even if youâre just 1 person
The thing about playing solo anyways is that, with Shroudfield, if you just rush youâll eventually hit the enemy limit in which the game canât spawn more ambience (itâll still spawn Specials and Bosses)
There isnât anything. I really donât think it was a problem until they gave it to every class. Good Pykers are far and few in between which means seeing one that could properly use the godly sword was the equivalent of seeing a shiny Pokemon.
Even now, I see every Psyker using the force greatsword. Does that mean the force sword is objectively better than the best weapon in the game?

It was a problem since it made literally every melee but Knife and Deimos 100% useless (this was before GS was released ofc)
If anything this is a good argument of why it should be nerfed, since it wonât affect the vast majority of the playerbase and prevents part of the issue the Psyker class can do
idk if better, but Psyker Greatsword is defenitely OP and needs a nerf alongside Duelling Sword yes
At least Zealotâs Relic Blade has the heat mechanic, meanwhile Psyker GS deals the damage Relic Blade deals when powered up all the time
Deimos and Knife also need a nerf but only by reducing the effectiveness of Uncanny Strikes

Unless someone is cheating (in which case shame on them!) then thereâs no difference. Its the same fundamental spawn logic at play. Most solos you see uploaded are going to be âlucky rollsâ where the âseedâ of enemies is conducive to a successful run, but this is not different than real games in any special way. People just literally play until they win which is exactly what you would want (because its the same as a live server game. You play until you win). This overhead, though, is why people donât do that many of them - its good for bragging rights but also annoying as hell. Nobody I know is cheating, but they are generally posting the good runs. Which is fine, by the way, expecting people to have anything other than a low clear rate on extremely hard content would kinda defeat the purpose.
Originally the lack of the mod Artificial Latency actually made them harder. But now most people are playing at a ping that the game is designed to work at. (the game literally breaks at 0 ping).
the largest issue with zealotâs kit is that itâs still standardized around the older style of balance. Zealot can only choose so many things that kill everything in the form of their ability choice. Meanwhile, psyker can oneshot everything in the game, spread soulblaze, be immortal to ranged bullets on every crit, every other swing, multiple times in a row, or whatever they feel like, and this can happen whether they have bubble shield or scrierâs, itâs just that scrierâs is much funnier. Itâs a do everything class, just take the do everything buttons and win. Vet is in a similar position where krak nades delete elites every toss regardless of difficulty and they get refunded every now and then while also on a cooldown, and they can do this with voc, where they get insane levels of survivability and situational stagger value far greater than chastiseâs survivability or stagger.
I think the easiest solution to all of this is to just give knives 100% penetration and oneshot crushers on headshot. This would bring the knife manstopper shotgun build to meta and finally zealot can shine as a melee frontliner class.
And what ping usually is used?
20-60ms
Admitting that a class is so incredibly carried by its kit that itâs rare to encounter people whoâve developed actual skill with it.

Force Great Sword does not even need uncanny and has a longer reach. Easier horde clear as well

999 out of 1000 Shroudfield Zealots actually DEAL ZERO DAMAGE.
They just walk around with the team, pretending they are playing the game, but in reality they are just waiting for a boss to appear so they can try to 1-shot it.
The remaining 1 out of 1000 is a gamble..
Maybe he is ok, maybe he aggros everything and dies, maybe he lets the team die so he can âclutchâ and upload his clip for views and likes.
Stealth zealots usually just disappear and run off though so itâs like not having a 4th teammate anyway lol.
Not gonna lie I want to play VT2 again (Chaos Wastes) but every time I go back I find the enemy attack queues, sound and the fact that something pot shots you without your knowledge quite frustrating (Skill issue I guess). Darktide just has a better combat flow for me. I donât understand why people complain that you can basically play the game like a Bladedancer if you wanted to. Just feels more expressive like a dance for example. Itâs not like every one plays like that. Does it really hurt your experience that you can kite? Also I think itâs basically the minority that knows how do smoothment properly
H2 also shouldnât knockdown everything but bosses in one hit.
FGS special attack design is the main issue I take with the weapon. It should have been never designed in the way it is. Way too much destructive power there. I would be more than happy if it was a single target ranged warp javelin attack, similar to what we have in VT2, only something you charge over time. Except that the weapon should be probably made comparable to powered relic blade in its armoured damage.
Wdym, FGS destroys armor harder a relic sword can dream of powered up.
