I hate Havoc Zealots who have a copy-pasted “Havoc ready” Beacon of Purity build off of gameslantern.
I hate Havoc Zealots who don’t know what a heavy attack or what a slide dodge is.
I hate Havoc Zealots who haven’t used their ability for the past 3 minutes because they want to save their beloved Chorus for that “perfect moment”
I hate looking at a Havoc Zealot build post-game just to see they dropped duelist for a +15 toughness node.

i have the opposite feeling for those, they are going for a support build and try their best rather than go for the usual monkey brain zealot fury of the faithfull build with benediction and be useless for the whole game
then if they suck its a whole other issue
my support zealot is the most confortable class for when i play havoc
Do you also hate Zealots that run off meta but might not contribute the most? Cause I’m not sure what you want if so.
Eh, I just use this and eventually end 9/10 times with top boss dmg and most special/elite kills
I just needed to rant a little because I swear it’s an epidemic. Majority of Zealots I see in havoc are dead weight that sometimes press chorus.
This no duellist build got me far, if you take knives you can afford it, but i like immolation grenades for bolter builds
It’s feels safest for me too and I think that’s why lots of people run it without knowing the ins and outs of the class and the game.
Basically if you beacon all the time you’re not really doing anything yourself so your team can carry you.
Not saying you are doing that, but it’s probably where OP’s frustration is coming from.
I’m really just not a big fan of zealot.
Don’t like the class, and i find a lot of sweaty try hards use it and they aren’t team players.

Charge Martyrdom Zealot is very high risk but can output monster damage. The problem is you could just play Arbites or Ogryn and get similar results with 1/50th the effort. Both classes get way more melee damage boosts from their tree and don’t even have die to get them. Cop gets martyrdom from a 3 node clump. Path of least resistance is playing Chorus and even then I would argue that Vet is a better toughness bot.
I hate metaslaves too.
Unfortunately they filter from the Havoc meme mode to the actual game.
That one is good for keeping the relic uptime high.
you are on a crit build, trust me that you can do proper damage even if you spam chorus
900k-1m damage every game is not ‘‘nothing’’ considering i play dumb mode and send chorus on cooldown every time i can
and i didn’t even play flamer/throwing knives, i reckon you could yeld even more damage with that, although you won’t have the same chorus uptime

Zealot often gets pigeon-holed int the Chorus “meta”, which is obviously crit based, so everyone runs with DS and “plamer”, because copy/pasted “meta”.
Meanwhile me…
I occasionally even swap out one of the blessings for Thunderous, even if overall dps noticeably drops. I wish that blessing debuff lasted a bit longer.
Some data to ponder over, I cannot remember the blessing setup here, but I suspect it was Thrust + Slaughterer OR Thunderous.
You missed the bottom part of my post. I believe you. Good players will do huge damage as well.
Just saying for every good one there’s a bunch more who just hold book and need to be carried .
