Your programmer "fixed" the wrong "bug" (vanilla item tagging cooldown)

Issue Description (Required):

I have posted this despite all my lazy and took notice your programmaer misinterpreted (or used the wrong string for vanilla tagging) to have made it so VERSUS MARKER TAGS don’t affect the social wheel cooldown timer while the REGULAR, VANILLA, HELMGART GAMES still do. It’s kind of funny. (I am praying this is what happened with you guys in the background so I don’t appear to be THE goober)

Hope I could make the employee whose reading this laugh.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Go to a versus game as hero.
  2. Spam tag the “Waypoint Marker”.
  3. You will be able to tag as much as you want with no consequences. (This “FIX” supposed to be for VANILLA, BLUE OUTLINE TAGS, VANILLA GAME, NOT VERSUS, VERSUS = 0)
  4. If = true then give the programer whom had the issue was assigned to a “Goofy Coder” badge. Goofy man-thing!
  5. Revert the “FIX” and apply it to the according string. (idk programing I’m just guessing what that is)

Reading on your original post, I think the issue stems from the fact that you are able to tag heroes as pactsworn with a social wheel which has an innate unchangeable delay afaik, unaffected by the social wheel delay input setting in the settings. This would be a social wheel tag for both of the inputs, not just the shared one.

As of the latest patch you can tag people in versus with either tag only or with tag/social wheel buttons respectively, with “tag only” correctly only tagging now.

The pactsworn social wheel itself is bugged - it prompts the tag and according rat voice line properly, but pastes a missing string text in chat.

I am posting it here since as I said I am assuming it is related, sorry if I should’ve posted this in VS seperately and the adventure tidbit here.

Since versus patch, you are able to tag through with the other (tag only) keybind through your social wheels and it follows your cursor inside the social/emote wheel in both versus and adventure, it is more noticeable in versus itself, as the marker will pop up.

In versus, you can use 2 tags at once thanks to this, which I don’t think is intended since pings in versus have a natural delay to them if you try to ping anything. You can tag 2 specials if they’re stacked on top of each other I believe, although the first tag dissapears - you can’t retag anything for a brief period after tagging an enemy. Absolutely minor and not game breaking, just weird.

speaking on VS ping delay - I REALLY don’t know how are you supposed to double-tap the ping button to have the “go here” marker show up as a hero without pressing both of the tag buttons, i have tried almost everything to do that and no can do, not even with a macro, not sure what’s up with that… I’ve seen newbies do it though so it’s propably just something wrong on my side.

In versus keep, your social wheel is different to the one you have as a hero while in a match. In the keep you have the normal adventure social wheel, making it ever more confusing with the layout.

In match progress, the tag through will bug out your cancel ping command option on the social wheel if you try to cancel your ping which you have placed on the ground through the social wheel, making in uncancelable - again super minor, just weird.

The hero-specific tagging on pactsworn rattos pastes this in chat:

  • <vs_social_wheel_dark_pact_player_ambush>
  • <vs_social_wheel_dark_pact_player_attack>
  • <vs_social_wheel_dark_pact_player_cover_me>

I’d guess that’s propably not the intended message. The respective tag icon and voiceline play accordingly. (voicelines have a grace period i think?)
