People expect action to lead to outcome, but that doesn’t happen in DT, so people are finding other ways to do it.
Playing the game =/= progress. Watching an app = progress. So there are people that watch the app.
It is kind of silly, but what’s happening is that people are playing are two games rather than one. One game is where you kill heretics, the other game is where you get gear to kill the heretics.
While I don’t disagree with this statement, there are people who consider gear progress as a driver for playing these sorts of games and they have expectations on how that progress should relate to their actions in the game. The store as it exists doesn’t really meet those expectations, so they look for ways to get around its shortcomings.
