i cant believe i’m writing this, but for all his “odd stuff” for a lack of better words, he’s far from this cheap childish antics
kinda reminding me of this “jackal” ![]()
You’re kind of proving that wrong yourself here
Let’s see what’s going on in he-

Nevermind.
how can they, bother actors and director are long dead ![]()
but yes i agree, currently despite all their cheesyness i enjoy me some charles bronson on amazon ![]()
back in the day there were “better” options but with what goes for a movie nowadays, even b-listers from the 70-80s are more enjoyable ![]()
Muskatnuss herr müller, MUSKATNUSS
Has to be Ogryn right now
nah sah, doing fine earning rashuns. the havoc 40 that dont reject poor ogryn usually work out well too.
nerfed, not working keystones, objectively the worst character at everything. sure he can hang but he’s not what he once was
His keystones work fine other than one stat buff from FNP not doing what it says. He’s not in that much trouble, he just doesn’t scale well into Havoc without a lot of practice + he has no OP crutches like the others.
His most pressing issue is I think that he has utter garbage weapon variety. Almost all his weapons suck hard and are only usable with and because of batter. Maybe he could also use a gap closer self-defense self-toughness bridgegap mechanic a la bubble/charge/chorus/shout/until death. It’s also odd that he’s not the tankiest character despite his severe mobility drawbacks.
Despite all this he works and excels at some things so things arent THAT dire
up until auric maelstrom i can count on one hand the matches where i didnt dish out more kills/damage than at least 2 players combined, while putting them back on their feet (uninterrupted) and do many if not again the most objectives (auspex/buttons etc, with the exception of consignment yard where i block the outer spawn door to give the team more room to scan)
enter havoc and two skills(3 if you count voc) which the ogryn lacks, are mandatory, for public experience at least.
not gonna lie, so far my havoc 40s had psyker and zealot and even there, my ogryn helped killing stuff fast that doesnt drop by itself from yellow toughness or bubble.
not going the redundant defense route of course, switching the shield for the branx.
could he use a tool so peeps dont “reject” ogryn at the loathed party finder? sure
havent touched havoc for 2 weeks after proving my point and instead rather recorded dozens of fun histg matches and carries.
go figure.
in terms of balance i agree, the kind of weapons (knife, club, shield etc) are fun though in their kind.
just need to be brought up to snuff with the pickaxe.
ranged weapons such as ripper and grenade gauntlet sure need something going for them other than can opener and respective rending, falling short to stubber and kickback
I just had an absolutely hilarious Havoc 20~ match. We had a typial dead weight Veteran with the Recon and fireteam aura (lol), we was taking all the ammo. Another player had a mod that showed who picked an ammo box and how much ammo was wasted (and he wasted a lot of it). The veteran got offended that this mod is “toxic” or whatever and got into the argument with another guy.
“Mods are bad” community in the nutshell. They hate mods because they can fact-check their terrible performance.
Part of the issue with them IMO is that playstyle wise they don’t vary enough due to the shoving of heavy attack talents left and right. Some of the cleavers you can get away with going more light attack heavy due to confident strike but overall heavy attacks are over encouraged to the point of being detrimental to the overall design of the class. There’s genuinely no alternative to them. That combined with the fact that they still haven’t addressed the awkward input delay that only ogryn has makes the class feel clunkier and worse than it should.
I’d honestly rather see his middle tree reworked entirely as it stands, it’s probably the weakest part of the kit design wise. Move the heavy attack tree to the center and rework the left side to a more general melee tree. (EG: A ‘berserker’ style or some such. Could even still incorporate a variation of FNP within it as it still would suit a berserker archetype)
Also has been said previously, ogryn desperately just needs more options per tier of talents. Builds are pretty rote, it’s basically just picking which particular section of the tree you’re going down.
Can we not do this, please? There’s more middle ground than that as well.
trying to get the most out of the branx for the last couple weeks i ever so often find some inconsistencies to its swings as well.
for example overheads being the most efficient tools to deal with crushers and bulwarks in the event, its far more reliable to put a light overhead between the heavies and get a vertical strike guarantees than the actual two heavies in a row delayed by the same amount of time.
bit weird to explain in text form but going with heavy swings in rapid succession gets you alternating vertical and horizontal swings.
waiting for a short time should get you a vertical every time, yet said delay makes it tricky in the heat of things to pull off.
so alternating between heavy and light attack is the only fool proof method for now.
but with that said, ironically the branx is the weapon i use the “most” light attacks with for the horde combo push|light|heavy is my go-to tool for the majority of the match.
ages ago i was getting comfortable with ogryn at beta and shortly after, bull butcher III knife was light swinging almost all the time and thus wasted a huge amount of potential.
there should be some light attack perk alternatives, that berserk like procc only after a hail of swings but get faster with every follow-up.
Yeah, there’s stuff like that, or other things like most classes having much more responsiveness for things like blocking.
Going from a human class to an ogryn class feels way more sluggish, and not in a good way (or a thematic way). Back in beta they had to fix some input issues with blocking and push attacks and it feels like they fixed it for every class but ogryn.
Sometimes my branx just doesn’t swing at all when I press attack.
i tend to rather repeat the push light heavy combo preemptively than go for “fresh” attacks to counter this effect of input getting lost in the void.
might look awkward in my replays but it works, ogryn guarantee👍
