Can we get any type of statement on if the current
version of FSR will be upgraded anytime soon to fix all these ghosting and texture mapping issues Fatshark? (@FatsharkLev)
Given this is such a nonstop, ultra fast paced game, it seems critical to do so given FSR 2.2 was designed (upgraded) specifically to fix these issues.
Not to mention the 2.2 version has better toolkits and a debugger to help with fine tuning visuals, so it’d also assist the development team long term.
I created an account just to say thanks for the update!! Consistent performance is tricky in this title on Radeon GPUs, and FSR 2.0 isn’t quite optimal for IQ.
Do you know if any other performance improvements are in the pipeline for AMD GPUs or are we looking at steady state performance?
Thats great to hear, thank you. Would you kindly tell the devs to add a sharpness slider instead of a toggle, and FSR’s ultra quality mode, which is similar to Nvidia’s DLAA, for screenshots.

I hope for more fine tuning. There is less image stability / more shimmering on ground textures than before. I’m sure a balance between ghosting, text clarity and image stability was needed.
" * AMD FSR has been updated to version 2.2 – with improvements across the board, particularly with ghosting. You can read more about FSR 2.2 on the AMD blog 13."
Yay!
Glad it happened.
Hoping for some more fine tuned fsr2.2 implementation, and a sharpness slider bar.
This update (specifically fsr 2.2) will be a big help to the ENTIRE community (unlike the Nvidia proprietary stuff)
Glad all the time I spent in this thread documenting FRS and why it should be updated payed off
Keep it up FS.
It’d be awesome to see AMD’s open source cloth and hair physics code added too. It would make this game pop man. Imagine seeing imperial flags have dynamic holes shot in it and stuff, or the better and more realistic reactions of robes fluttering and NOT clipping through legs as you run and stuff.
Hopefully that won’t be just my dream in the future.
Fatshark, please do the following with the fsr 2.2 implementation:
lable it appropriately in the settings. Currently it’s just “fsr 2” and not 2.2, which there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between them.
add a slider to control the smoothing, not just a simple “on/off”. Having adjustable smoothing is a key feature we need with upscalling technology.
Both if these will help not only your advertising/publicity of clearly showing fsr 2.2 support, but also help the users actually fine timune it better.
If you could pass that along @FatsharkLev for some future update or patch, thated be great.
