geez, keep it, just make it reasonably powerful, not head and shoulders above everything else. i don’t get it what’s so complicated about balancing weapons and having a large variety instead of some “must pick” outliers.

Regardless of whether Arbites can use DS or not, it needs to be nerfed.
Please make sure to nerf it in the next update.

Also we need more enemies on the screen, especially elites. Right now the game is an absolute breeze and not challenging at all, I’m just casually killing 10+ pack of Maulers like it’s no one’s business. Auric shouldn’t look like that, there should be at least 30+ elites spawning with each horde.

While we’re at it, Trapper should be able to teleport directly to players and she gets a high capacity clipazine because why TF not? Git gud rejects!

Its just players make this weapon look so, because its easy to use. Too easy.

And i think decision to give DS outside psyker is bad. Because for psyker its normal to have slightly busted melee weapon… u know how “well” psyker performs melee builds (i know there is melee psyker lovers, but im havoc 40 player and i tell MY vision of this).

Give it to ogryns first, then to Dredd, then remove it from Vet and Zealot a month after that, then remove it from Psyker a month after that, fix it, then give it back.

Uncanny - capped at 40% Rending, no longer applies to DoT stacks.
Special attack - no longer staggers Ogryns.
Sprint speed - reduced.

Those 3 adjustments would be good enough.

Yeah the rending is wild, just looks ridiculous when flying around decapitating crushers with no issue.

That said it seems really fun to use and rewarding of aiming skill and mobility, would be a shame to lose that. I reckon it’s a case of deliberating on what to tune down, the nerf complaints surely can’t be worse than now

Not the only weapon they have to balance.

PG and boltguns are also too strong considering other weapons.
And there are useless weapons that are too weak for too much time. (Example: catachan sword, last buff did not make this weapon good… And this weapon has never been good)

so instead of making an overtuned havoc 40 the only challenge and only based on cheap meta talents and weaponry, scrap the power creep at once, cold turkey and reign in the outliers, make auric maelstrom the ultimate “solo/random” experience by NOT breezing through 10 maulers but fighting tooth and nails, only making leeway for inept mates that need to be ignored and you do the job on your own.

by the same time, take out the crap that makes voc/bubble/book mandatory in havoc and enforce teamwork there by more intelligent/demanding enemy patterns/spawns/placement that needs different approaches than leeeeroy jenkins and we’re set.

does it take time, effort and community will to hand over their favorite toys? sure, but the game will be better off in the long run.

You talk to the guy that opened this thread and that want the DS available to the new class, because he could not play without an OP weapons.

So when he says that Havoc is not challenging, that just because he does everything he can to kill the challenge. Look he even asked directly Fatshark to remove this challenge by allowing DS, unnerfed, to the new class.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the “nerf-train” hasn’t even left the station yet, no? Last updates were almost entirely buffs, and the most blatant offenders such as:

• Duelling Sword
• Voice of Command
• Infernus Staff
• Plasma Gun
• Staff primary spam (usually Electrokinetic)
• Venting Shriek (overstacking Soulblaze)
• Until Death + Holy Revenant
• Enduring Faith

have not been touched, which is why the game has devolved into a glorified walking simulator outside of Auric Maelstrom / Havoc.

So perhaps we should finally start the “nerf-train”, so that all the people taking a vocal stance against it can finally have something more than a self-constructed effigy to fight.
