Why is armor from trailer/creation not available in game?

Why is some of the coolest armor for each class you see during the trailer and character creation kept away from us ? Does fatshark want to monetize these too? They already have a cash shop that rotates to take advantage of fomo, they already released steel legion first for the krieg fan boys so that when krieg does come out these fan boys would buy it twice.

last we need is to have the coolest armor shown in trailers and character creation kept hidden from us.

So they can charge for it later. Too bad there weren’t even low effort cosmetics to buy with not-cash. I think the customization in this game is absolutely atrocious though. You have tons of cosmetics that wouldn’t even clip that can’t be worn together. I’m sure they would triple their sale of ugly Ogryn armor-shells if you could use any of his other uniforms under it. And not being able to use flamer as Vet makes the Steel Legion cosmetic a wasted opportunity imo, like actually.

It was ripped out of the base game to be sold to us at a later date.
Lol. It’s so obvious to me that this game is a Frankenstein’s monster of what it was originally supposed to be. This definitely wasn’t the original intent.

↑ This is the true answer. ↑
They’ll pop up in the premium store for us to buy with monopoly money later.

or they could add it later for free, via some kind of reward system like penances so they can call it a content drop. like they did with power mauls, that was supposed to be there from the start.

Cosmetics leaked for each class during the open beta in October. Google them. Some of these were in there. None of the items released in the cosmetic store so far were in those, so it’s likely those items will be available in game at some point.

the gear is totally modeled the bot in the advanced combat training is wearing the right’s set. I think they will drop this as a brand new exlusive never seen cosmetic behind brand new exclusive bad designed penances when they will have modeled enough crap for the premium store…

Imagine giving to the players a nicest gasmask an armor for free when you could sell for 20bucks an out of game context full set with gas mask !

‘Well the core gameplay is fun!’ My brother in Christ, that’s the minimum expectation for a video game’s gameplay. I want an actual full product for once, I’m done playing games for their ‘potential’ and not their actual quality in front of me.

which I think absolutely does not justify doing all the advertising of the game with skins that are unavailable day one.

It’s just as stupid as if kratos was beardless and fought with a wooden club in the commercialized version of god of war ragnarok.

But unfortunately, apart from seeing the fact of keeping skins already created in reserve to release “new content” to players who don’t go through the premium store, I don’t see any valid reason not to put them… unless they like to take useless polemics by disappointing the players!

Coolest? More like trash tier armor compared to what the wh40k universe has to offer.

The game wasn’t finished at launch. I’m hoping the missing armour is because they haven’t finished making the corresponding penances.

Otherwise they’re withholding content from launch to give the illusion of a fast free content pipeline post launch.

The game needs to have the appearance of free ongoing support to justify the freemium payment model in a $60 game. But cutting features from a barebones release and delivering them piecemeal later is not the way to do it.

Yeah that’s why I thought it was cheeky when they said they heard our complaints and are going to roll out more weapons with the signal update blog post What? You were the ones adding them to your ‘70+ launch weapons’ list, so no handing them out after launch is not acceptable. Same with more scenarios for Enclavum Baross. It was sold short, completing it later is not ‘map DLC’. They even called it a new map, lol save that tag for a map that hasn’t been seen before. Aka ‘new content’.
