performance wise, the game has gotten worse so thats not a reason for the change. i dont think nobody asked for change towards less crushers and more specials, if someone did its a very very small fraction of the player base that did, absolutely dumb as hell and not ideal.
A lot of people did. I think they went a little too far with it (if anything, they should have swapped “Crusher” and “Bulwark” everywhere possible in those patch notes), but it’s undeniable that a great many people were exhausted with armor spam and begging for it to lighten up.
Now we just need inferno staff, flamer, and rumbler to catch hit mass cleave limits so we can lighten up on all spawns and ease up on some of the technical problems the game’s overwhelming volume of spawns cause.
