Revert the -15% further reduction of Ogryns in Havoc

-35% global change was goode, but that extra -15% in Havoc makes it feel kinda empty of ogryns

Well from Fatshark’s patchnotes

They reduced Ogryn enemies spawning by a global 35% (so every difficulty), and ALSO reduced the amount of Ogryn enemies by an “extra” 15% in Havoc exclusively

The suggestion I made is to revert that 15% extra reduction they made for Havoc (and I’m even willing to say increase the amount of crushers that can spawn by a little more in Havoc, bulwarks and reapers can burn in hell)

Maybe just let this change sit for a bit longer than… less than a day before you make your judgment call on it?

I’m also pretty sure that these changes are a part of the bigger picture and further changes will come with the next update, which will further reduce the spawns and nerf the players some more.

the first game i played had people saying the run was too easy, and we counted a total of 10 crushers
there were only 2 in the first 10 minutes of the havoc 40
it definitely removes the crusher walls, but it makes them even as individuals super scarce which shouldnt be a thing in havoc

On this one nah, I’ll keep playing Havoc and keep checking but the crusher numbers feel way lower than the idea of “let’s just reduce them by 1/3rd”

Agreed, the update has made Havoc much easier and lose part of its charm. We play H40 for the insanity and the chance to overcome odds that seem impossible, it was the only way to demonstrate skill expression and proper team work.

Please either revert/reduce the crusher spawn changes or increase the Havoc cap from 40.

Crusher walls were the last gatekeepers preventing teams from dps checking everything.

High havoc feels like a glorified auric now, where the presence of a frontline is mostly cosmetic if you’ve brought enough dmg.

This approach does not work without a massive blanket nerf targeting overall powerlevel.

yeah so far it seems a bit like they’ve missed the point of what they’re trying to do. hopefully it just means they’re nerfing the game first to lessen the outrage when they normalize weapons

Well, we complained that inferno staff and Soulblaze damage scaling, Perilious Combustion feeding into itself are broken and need nerfs if not straight out reworks. Fatshark buffed Inferno staff and Soulblaze instead.

Well, we complained that certain Havoc difficulty modifiers, especially Rotten Armour, stagger resistance bs, Rotten Armour vision obscuring effects, self-heal from Garden WHILE getting damaged is a bad way of scaling difficulty…Fatshark lowered the Ogryn spawns.

I’m fine with the lower Ogryn amount, if anything I’d just prefer they have more HP so it’s more of a roadblock that requires specific action when they do appear.

Another hp buff to crushers sounds a little crazy

if you feel like they aren’t impactful enough right now, why not up their effectiveness? it’s not like you couldn’t do other things than HP or other adjustments alongside it like lowering their movement speed. I much prefer crushers and bulwarks to be more rare but feel like minibosses that make you have to adjust your play to deal with over how they used to be. is it that crazy to plan around hitting them one more time than you currently do?

I dunno, going from 35% nerf to an extra 15% seems like it resulted in a 50% nerf rather than whatever the math was intended to do. Because we went from like 29 (not that many) to like 15 crushers on the high side. According to players who have been counting. That seems insane.

Like on average crushers were spawning in groups of like 3-6 already. Its fine to bring that number down so its more like 2-5 but…we got half? 1.5-3? Not a good.

Can we also point to the absurdity that’s on display?

People were telling stories about fighting imagined and fictional hordes of Crushers to get the Krak nerfed…resulting in Krak being actually kinda buffed because there’s just not enough worthwhile carapace targets for it.

Btw we had Havoc run with 10 crushers and 13 bosses…

Krak needed a nerf

But not 90s on demo stockpile and not touching Demo Team but rather by nerfing Demo Team since that is the problem child and maybe make the stockpile cooldown for kraks to be 75s

Yup exactly why I want the -15% Ogryns in Havoc reverted first before touching the -35% crushers

I’m torn on this, cuz I’m broadly in agreement that the 15% extra in havoc was a step too far. But at the same time, keeping the spawn rates like this but upping the stats on them and maybe reworking their attack patterns a bit so that when they do spawn, they’re just giant wrecking balls to whatever plan you were trying to put together could be a lot of fun too.

Its not that that would not be fun, it’s that:

15% number change = easy interger change

Reworking attacks and behaviors = dev time investment.

I don’t to wait 3 months for havoc to be fun.

granted I haven’t played H40 since the current patch, so I’ll defer to y’all on how its shaking out. I think the reduction has really made me curious? hopeful? this means we’ll get some more new enemies soon which would obv interface with our existing set? I’m ready to be made a fool come Skulls
