I want loot rat analogue from VT 2, it’s funny.
Honestly don’t care what other new enemy faction will be, i want admonition giga expansion with demons and possesed.
Orcs would be most fun, but they don’t fit DT narrative.
Genestealers next option and they fit.
I didnt consider giving them a shield. That would actually be a great way to distinguish them from other hoard enemies. Would put them into the Elite-Light category kina like bruisers but a bit stronger I think.
Yeah Im not saying for the current nerrative. I mean like a large DLC type expansion that adds another world for the warband to goto after/during tertium.
Oh i remember recommending a loot Daemon at one point…if we want to make it really fun…devious…. drop aquilas
It’s 40k. Possibilities are endless. They could appear in orbit or through the warp or some spores smuggled in as a form of sabotage or accidentally on a drifting space hulk etc.
It could be they have landed on one of the moons as a separate off-world DLC pack. or you have to board a spacehulk.
pretty much anything can be explained away with some good writing.
I wouldn’t put them as a Horde unit at all, they’re quite stronger than normal humans
(Dark Heresy ed1 base)
(Dark Heresy 1e\Disciplies of the Dark Gods)
Similar types of stats would push them toward high elites rather than horde (Poxwalkers, Bruisers…)
If the faction require a hard gating from the current missions and from the current factions, then I’d agree with Downer, they don’t fit the DT narrative, which has since the start been “Tertium is falling” and Human vs Chaos (Human). GSC at least work in the missions, though would possibly require creating new narrative for the missions when they’re there.
Darktide definitly does not follow dark heresy balance lol (besides the 40k TTRPG systems are… Questionable in a lot of ways and a lot of them are quite old at this point so they aren’t really modern sources. Going off like 40k tabletop their defining trait is being very tanky/slow and okay at melee).
That being said they would definitely be more then a standard hoard but they probably shouldn’t do as much damage as a rager. Probably similar stats to a dreg rager just slower and with weaker attacks, maybe a small amount of toughness penetrating corruption damage.
Lush environments would be nice. I know its unlikely, but alien jungles/forests, water.
All the calls for other biomes have made me envision going into an artificial garden biome somewhere in tertium.
As much as DT’s environments are interesting, I do really enjoy going beautiful places in games.
I’d love to see some maps with plenty of plantlife (regular, exotic, corrupted and so on). Maybe some sort of Hydroponics lab, an upperhive garden, or an abandoned hab that has overgrown with weeds. There are plenty of ways they could make one or more.
They’ve already hinted at Genestealer Cults with their logo being seen in the Intel papers found in the No Man’s Land fortress’ basement. There was some foreshadowing in Brahms’ Mortis Trials Memories as well. (And maybe one of the Vox Intercepts?). I’m hoping the GSCs fight the Dregs&Scabs as much as they fight us, because a multifaction brawl sounds more interesting.
A Tzeentch cult could be an interesting enemy if they want to play on the “Great Game” aspect of Chaos’ infighting (Papa Nurgle and the Cuttlefish of Keikaku are opposed after all). It would also allow Fatshark to make some more esoteric enemies.
Daemons as enemies would also be interesting. And the narrative seems to be hinting at Daemon summoning.
Think we’re ready for Crushers to be replaced by these guys? Might have to empty Needle Pistol clipazine twice! ![]()
Tbh plague marines would be pretty neat as level bosses. I mean I know people have said that “oh the power level is wrong” but we’re killing beasts of nurgle like it’s nothing. (A beast of nurgle is equal to like 3.5 plague marines)
I want to flee from a group of Chaos Space Marines while they taunt us whole mission to lead them into Tank Ambush / explosive traps
Imagine running from a pair of them on No Man’s Land, final boss fight in the bunker area.
Yeah as long as they don’t have void shields and become completely incapacitated when the shield goes down…
I was thinking it might be funny if they won’t go down without at least killing 2-3 party members.
you wanna “fix” the needle gun?
make it heal infected enemies instead ![]()
giant snot-burger gets shot with boogers, don’t seem much sense in them not adding to his snottiness, no? ![]()
Let’s just say…
Some synthetic toxins can dissolve flesh on atomic level. No amount of freaky mutations might help with the fact that your protein and fat molecules start vanishing because of some funny mist
you doubt the grandfathers cauldron?
that’s
heretical-heresy…. so - × - = + ?!?
ogryn confused
but balance wise it’d make people think what to shoot with which, lore ain’t into “balance” here for the most part already
ogryn sure sah means run towards an smash em.
ogryn no coward, coward get no rashuns, coward is rashun
Imagine the griefing that could be done by healing those enemies from a distance while teammates are in melee with them lol.
They could honestly reduce Needle Pistol’s stack application per shot by 50% and it would still be fine. The result would be 1 mag to kill an Auric Crusher at a slower pace, still doable with the high rate of fire but more ammo costly. With 17 mags in reserve though, that’s still plenty of anti-Crusher power.
With Out of Pocket as strong as it is that’s likely the most efficient option, unless like @Vror said they exclude Needle Pistol from Out of Pocket entirely.
…if you can’t friendly fire… you can enemy heal? ![]()
