What’s with people not picking up the health stims now?

Thank you, i guessed that there would be a mod for that, but seeing as there is no official regulation on mods in this game i don’t feel comfortable in using them.

There’s a little regulation (very little). but this is a QoL mod, so no ethical boundary is crossed. The QoL mods are lifesavers quite frankly and you’re doing yourself a disservice by not using them.
This mod is not doing anything like giving you a better view of your rear (3rd person) or marking things and letting you track them and prioritize weak ones (healthbars).

P.S. Unless you meant uncomfortable from a tech standpoint? Mods in this game are LUA scripts that manipulate the game engine’s exposed functionality. They are plain text and can’t do anything past what the game allows, so take that into account.

Yes, it’s tech standpoint, I would like to use them but I don’t know much about coding, could the modders have access to my game or my pc if i install them? Could the anti cheat someday cause problems and get my account banned?

When you install any software from anywhere from anyone you run the risk of installing malware even from a big name brand like ASUS, Seagate, and Lenovo for example. The loader is open source on github so the community can self regulate and self report if anything nefarious happens and they’re all specifically made for people without developer knowledge or experience in mind.

I’m a web dev and the last thing I want to do in my spare time playing Darktide is learning some random game’s specific way of scripting/programming something. I just drag and drop folders and they work.

A) LUA scripting is limited to what the game allows, it’s beyond unlikely that it can do any harm to your PC, and any character manipulation or fishy thing would likely be caught by others using the mod (or glancing at the plain text code); don’t be an early adopter if you’re concerned.

B) EAC anti-cheat has been disabled for a year now, no bans unless you go out of your way to write a mod that does really iffy stuff that FS can detect on their end.
Quite frankly FS has been VERY lenient and only had issue with the mod that was highlighting ALL stuff for vet.

Yeah, somehow the height change mod is still a thing.

Its on the outside ring of the main mission area.

This has been a thing since the first Vermintide game.

People still ignore items when I play V2. Not at all surprised when it happens in DT.

Some people are either unaware or just dont care. :person_shrugging:
