What is your biggest pet peeve so far?

Might have to swap my pet peeve to corruption goo making you instantly drop whatever you’re holding…like…why?!

This is SUPER TEDIOUS when you’re solo’ing a SOI in expeditions when you have to carry a cannister anywhere and an army of corrupted pox walkers have made the floor a sea of green, thus making it impossible to carry anything across it.

And just spent ages collecting resources and recovering the only other human teamate’s dropped remnants after he died, on zone 2 of 3, only for him to run to the other side of the map and activate the valkarie as soon as he was rescued, and just as I was getting to the safehouse gate carrying a bloody reliquary. Of course, in FS infinite wisdom, 1 person calling for a valkerie apparently cancels the option to activate the gate so after killing 2 pack masters I died. I had like 2k remnants, loads of scrap, and a reliquary. And he just threw it all away by calling for the valkarie when he didn’t even hold any remnants!? How does that make sense? Thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my time for nothing. Love losing progress because of other people. Urgh.

I rage quit so I hope he didn’t make it on to the valkarie and learned a lesson.

So another pet peeve is people. People being f*cking stupid/selfish/whatever.

absolute no rebinds for controller drives me nuts, it’s the one thing keeping me from using throwing knives on zealot because the placement of the blitz button (down button on dpad) is such an awkward placement because it makes it so that i cant move forward AND throw the knife at once. it would be such a godsend if i could just bind that button somewhere else

No slug shotgun version of the Kickback/Rumbler that pierces carapace. It’s a free, fun idea and ogryn needs every little bit of love it can get on the ranged weapon front.

I know that one, but it causes my game to crash, unfortunately. :confused:

Thank you, Cheddar, but while I’m very critical of Fatshark VFX / SFX >>>>>> clarity of gameplay “vision”, to some degree I’m also a purist. I don’t like removing content from the game, in unintended by the devs manner.

I have tried a lot of those mods in the past like I want see, ZipIt(2), Spidey Sense, FOV modification mods. I’ve mixed feelings about how they affect the experience, from game atmosphere, to frankly giving players “unfair” advantage. Some of the options just feel slightly too “cheatty” for me. I definitely understand that some players are so frustrated with the game’s broken systems, VFX/SFX overload, or even muddy colour pallet, that they use those mods to make the game more playable.

I know the maps inside out by now, but I don’t think I have ever finished a regular Auric mission under 20 minutes.

My clear time is 25-35 minutes, which feels just right. I love longer missions though.

It is pretty rare but there are days I can get a 18 min or 20 min Malestrom - most times it’s at least 30 minutes though. Really depends if people move at a consistent pace or not - sometimes spawns just do not stop on some levels so pushing forward is the only choice

My feeling is that missions clear time is lower when the team stays together and longer when you have rushers and stragglers. But it’s very rare that I see stragglers in Auric missions, it’s mostly rushers.

I hear you. It rides the line for me. If the psyker flames weren’t essentially bright white in an otherwise dark af game, I wouldn’t have even toyed with this, but I had to save my eyes in the end.

The servers are absolute pure sh*t and Fatshark 100% knows it

95% of your defeats can be pinpointed to either the servers or the audio being horsesh*t

It’s not a pet peeve btw, it’s straight up unprofessional, unserious and pathetic

Biggest? Cheat spawns. Teleporting/spawning in enemy behind you so even when you checked the corners, you get hit in the back.

It’s a peeve because a poxer isn’t dangerous, but it’s big because damnit, I was aiming and there was no possible way for him to be there. (It’s been recorded happening, it’s real.)

Really, we should be able to seal doors or put a back to a wall to shoot, but they really don’t want us to play that way.

among a couple others, these have been the mark lately no matter the loadout

for “longer” i pick solo mod auric, playing (not skipping anything) as ogryn, maelstroms are yet a bit out of reach, gonna try with an auspex auto solver cause you lnow, no stealth n never ending spawns aint quite doable on some maps per design :man_shrugging:

uhm no, wont clutter this post with another link but if you scroll down my channel youll find a 23-4ish run of dreyko when 2 dudes fresh off the pickup got nothing better than stroll back an already cleared and picked clean path.

neither did they learn from spectating how an efficient pace is done nor did they pay attention to us opening all the crates on that very path leading to them.

This is absolutely nuts. The team has clearly invested time and effort into these events, and most of them were interesting enough I’d play them again. AT LEAST add them to the Special Assignments board, so you have the option – it’s literally free content. I assume the assets are still kicking around in the game files, though I could be wrong.

Gotta disagree with this; the new maps have all been bangers imo. I’m like you where I just qp and see, but having even a few more maps is always welcome. I’d prefer to Unlock the Modifiers too, but I can’t be upset about the quality of maps that have come out and I don’t mind if they keep on comin’.

The servers stability and overall performance is my biggest pet peeve. Sometimes the game feel great so I know it can be fixed but quite often the performance is all over the place and the stupid server authoritative system eats my inputs and it just feels awfull to play.

yah FS map game has been SOLID which only makes the total lack of maps in living memory that bit more painful!

indeed, i played a bit yesterday and it felt pretty sluggish.

Don’t disagree at all, just not my priority because I think the modifiers bring more lasting variety to the table.

Sort of case in point: how many people seem to forget No Man’s Land even came out whenever people beg for the “first new map in years” every time we discuss this. Sure, it’s an operation, but not in the same way the train is at all.

I also know most map desires are for AT LEAST 2-3 and in a new biome, but I think that’s some high grade copium given what FS has shown they can output.

Yeah, I totally get that. I even had a clip a while back titled “I want to see, Fatshark”. In the said clip I could not see pox walkers attacks because of hyperdensity and everything being set on fire by SB.

At times I feel the game needs an official “competitive play” graphical and audio presents, which minimise VFX and SFX, in similar, but official ways some of those mods do.
