What if FatShark removes the Dueling Sword from Veteran and Zealot but gives them new weapons at the same time?

Think about it, people really want the Veteran to get a new ranged weapon. Getting it in a new update would definitely would make people happy enough that they would give the game positive reviews.

Now what if FatShark also removes the Dueling Sword from the class in the same update. It’ll make some people mad, outraged even, but it could balance itself out with positive reviews. I don’t know if people want a new weapon for the Zealot, so maybe giving them something new wouldn’t warrant such highly positive reaction as it would be with the Vet.

But it’s still an idea to consider and think about.

No, because it’s also OP on Pysker

Also removing DS on Zealot would remove a considerable amount of my fun, I’d rather they just nerf it hard and allow me to play poke poke master cuz that’s what I love this weapon for. I don’t need it to be better than the rest of the weapons, but I need to have the feeling of constant poke headshots because that’s why Victor Saltzpyre would’ve wanted out of me

Well, tbh I thought that FatShark has the best chances at pulling such a stunt with the Veteran, since they have leverage, it being people really wanting a new ranged weapon for that class. Additionally, Power Sword is on part, if not even better than the DS at dishing out insane DPS so it’s not like meta users wouldn’t be able to survive Havoc 40 runs.

But the Zealot, I just pulled into the equation without any further consideration. He’s just so nasty at melee that the DS makes him an absolute Beast. I guess the only comparable weapon would be the Relic Blade, but not nearly as much as the Power Sword.

Seeing as how they’ve elected to not take out the old Power Sword and instead introduced the Power Falchion as a separate weapon… I doubt they’d be inclined into doing so.

Duel Sword need to be brought to normality, and then the game need to have the enemy rebalance too.

Veteran is still owed a weapon, since I never had issues with the power sword. Scandar was owed a real rework, but its probably always going to end up like the Obscurus/Deimos situation where one variant just wins because it has a jacked exclusive move. I hope they aren’t sticking to the idea of locking dual wielding to DLCs because something like twin tactical axes would be so on brand and awesome as a Zealot weapon. Veteran has enough trench implements and power swords but no Power Fist.

How would the removal of the weapons even work? Would they give players a certain amount of money and crafting materials?

I think a nerf would be the better option.

Sometimes, there is a rare occasion when you equip a weapon, it doesn’t register, so your character equips any other weapon you currently have in your arsenal. That’s what would probably happen to the Veteran players with the DS, if FatShark were to remove it.

That doesn’t answer the question on how the player\character are compensated.

Woul they get some crafting material refunding…

Much better to see it get nerfed as needed.

Well, with a new weapon being given to the Veteran.

Probably, yeah.

Agreed, if that ever happens…

Deimos is better than ds4 anyway so all this would do is widen the gap between psyker and every other class except scum. Uncanny has remained untouched since launch just do something to it already.

You guys actually still think the dueling sword is a op weapon? It has been completely replaced by the chainsword and the hammer.

If you’re still using the dueling sword, you basically can’t contribute much on havoc difficulty.

As for the veteran, the power sword is a more versatile weapon that suits him better.

OP, what OP? All classes that use dueling swords now have better options. If you still insist on using a dueling sword, there’s no other explanation except that you either love its flexibility or you still think it’s the way it was in the previous version.

The dueling sword is no longer overpowered. Of course, it still has considerable strength, but it’s definitely not at the top tier anymore. There’s no reason to argue about whether it should be nerfed now. We should consider those other forgotten weapons that you almost never see anyone using.

this is delusional

Thank you for the insightful feedback. I’ll make sure to log it into the database.

How about we stop with the vet nerfing obsession?

DS is the best weapon of veteran in all game mode. I’d rather remove it from psyker, I can’t imagine how the veteran will be without DS in havoc.

Realistically, Fatshark is never going to remove weapons from a class and for good reason.
