It states it opens up for a lethal attack, but it has a bad stagger compared to push and heavy and doesnt even have a gimmick like “guarantee a crit if doing a strikedown when in stagger”? Am i missing something about it?
And why are there 3 of them that are all bad when it could just be one actually good heavy sword (mk 6 lights, mk 9 opener/non chained starter strikedown for heavy and the mk 7/9 push thrust) with more skins to earn?

You can chain exclusively single target headshot attacks by mixing in the special, that’s what it’s for.

Except you cant because its a true diagonal strike instead of vertical. And you have faster, 50%~ higher damage 25%~ higher stagger and actually reliable chain with block>heavy.
Most specials are just a quick attack chain reset, with often a higher stagger value.
The description sets a bit if false expectations, for I highly down their is some hidden combo, which actually prime’s a target for a quick killing blow.
