i personally think that the gunblades would be cool as all hell because they’re awesome.

Ooo I didn’t even know these were a thing! That reminds me of Final Fantasy VIII & random anime stuff really.
And speaking of FFVIII, that game had a mechanic where striking with the gunblade, then pulling the trigger at a precise moment would fire the gun and increase the dmg of the attack. That’s something Darktide doesn’t have and imo would fit some weapons really well!
Like, imagine hammers with a kind of power up where you tap the special just as it strikes the enemy to massively increase the dmg! Or a shotgunblade where you’d do a large sweep, then tap the special to fire a cone towards wherever the blade was pointing at at the time! Or even psyker staves with their worthless specials rn, what if the moveset was replaced with slower sweeps and either tapping the special again or LMB during a sweep would fire a strong melee range warp blast similar to the gunblade thing?
This is just getting me all kinds of excited.
