weapon swapping doesn’t always happen and it forces the animation to play thru and will pause sometimes after weapon swap. same thing with reloading, doesn’t feel great. in fact, a lot of animations feel like that, blocking does this occasionally as well and does not feel smooth and rewarding like in vermintide 2.
should be like vermintide 2 where you can swap really fast and smoothly, and cancel animations with weapon swap. it actually makes sense. in rl, if you were in a reload animation you wouldn’t just keep reloading and get hit, you would drop your reload animation and go back to shooting, which double weapon swap for animation cancel achieves. Especially with shot guns or revolvers you reload one shot at a time, an animation cancel that is smooth is really important, not that it isn’t important for all weapons. animation cancelling is really important, and vermintide 2 has it pretty much perfected. especially the bash/block and attack combos feel more responsive in vermintide 2.
