i get straight to the point where is the weapon customisation system fatshark that you’d promised us nearly two years ago, if your on pc it’s not really an issue due to mod e.g extended weapon customization mod that in it’s name sake let you customize your weapon and if your on either xbox or playstation you don’t luxury to be able use something like that, even if it’s not full fledge “build a weapon” thingy just being able to change your sights or change the flash light for a bayonet would still be great, if modders can do it you guys can too and not ignore it and the feedback that others been giving you about this topic.
Show me the promise.
Promised or not, i still would like to put scopes to my weapons, how difficult is to use the “weapon custom mod”, change it a bit and release it as “new content”?.
There are people who regard the feature being advertised in a magazine as a promise of that feature being in the game, and then there are people who cope about it.
One sentence, not even a quote.
Edit: and the funniest part is that practically no one has actually read the article.
And so the goalposts move and the coping begins!
Here’s reality: It was advertised so it should be in the game, failing that at least an explanation as to why it’s not in the game would be appropriate.
lol “cope” is my favorite dig
Aaanyway, this whole argument is so tired and hasn’t changed for over two years now. The game doesn’t have an attachment system, scopes and sights and special activations are part of weapon balance. The EDGE magazine article is, as far as I’ve been able to find, the only place that attachments were ever mentioned. And it wasn’t even a quote. People are welcome to keep asking for it, but I think it’s a something of a stretch to say it was promised and/or advertised (and therefore not having it makes that “false advertising”) but you’re free to think that!
Interesting, I think I’ve never seen your definition of the word advertising before. Very cool, but I’ll stick to the real definition!
Class action lawsuit, bro!
No idea what you’re on about with that one
For those want to track it down, it’s Edge Magazine issue # 372.
No one made a purchasing decision based off of this single sentence written by exactly one gaming journalist in one regional magazine months before launch:
“The lasgun is very different. “With the lasgun we’re talking about the ultimate version of the killshot experience,” Andersson says. This highly accurate rifle - which you’ll be able to upgrade with scopes and other accoutrements - has a big clip and lots of ammo. It’s not great in areas with lots of cover, but it delivers pinpoint damage that can zero in on specialists carrying threats such as flamers and hotshot volley guns.“
I don’t really care what sort of relativization and cope you bring, I never said any of what you’re trying to imply. Just refer back to my previous post:
Like why are you disagreeing with this? Holy hell.
Because I don’t agree that it was advertised as a feature of the game, with no one from FS seemingly ever actually talking about it and it never ending up in any marketing materials or official communication (like solo mode for instance). And I don’t personally think it’s a terribly important feature that must be added to the game because of the single sentence from the article quoted above.
You’re going to have to reconcile that belief with the fact that it was advertised as a feature of the game in that edge magazine. I’m in awe right now. You even posted it yourself.
Yea I don’t believe that anything and everything a gaming journalist writes about a game is “advertising,” let alone factual.
Interesting little tidbit about your personal views, however the Edge Magazine article advertised that feature there.
Regardless of it being advertised or not (it not being on the Steam/Microsoft pages).
It was then announced as cancelled. End of the line.
Did they ever actually?
Yes. In the thread where some one trolled Hedge in saying that CoD comment.
That whole thread was about the cancelled attachment
