nice gaslighting.
FatShark defence is now comparing them to known gaming exaggerator Peter Molyneux, lmao.
REAL TIME TREES.
Maybe heâs approached in that manner because they have a consistent track record of questionable design choices.
Imagine, if you will, that you are a chef, and people come to your restaurant to try your new dish. They pay, they start eating, and they start noticing the food is a little bland, and they start asking if you have any salt, and instead of providing salt or making sure the right amount of salt is used in your next dish, you get upset that they even asked.
sorry this topic is pointless, weâll see some weapon att. or not depends (not this topic).
is Hadge payed for talking with as or being nice to as ? ask fatshark. salt will kill you i barely use any.
Even if Hedge does have a history of this. The comment posted by Green was pretty rude so I can understand why maybe his response was less than helpful.
Itâs an analogy, you⌠Ogryn.
Part of interacting with the public is being able to not take criticism personally when itâs directed at the company you work for.
If he canât do that and/or feels overwhelmed, thatâs also a Fatshark issue. Management should be giving their CMs the training and support they need.
You donât have to defend Hedge. We all learn when weâre five years old that two wrongs donât make a right.
The thing that makes those quotes about it being a planned feature even worse is that theyâre from this year. Just a few months ago we had articles saying the game would have the ability to add attachments to weapons. Itâs not some feature they thought about during the early development and went in a different direction, it seems it was something they removed at pretty much the last minute based on that.
Attachments arenât a thing because âItâs not CoD and wasnât designed to be CoDâ but it seems it was a feature that they were going to have and that makes that response even more nonsensical.
Also, a lot of the weapons appear to already be modeled to take attachmentsâŚ
Agreed. He has had questionable statements in the past, but I always gave him the benefit for the doubt for it being somewhat âlost in translationâ. This not only horrendously arrogant, it is such a blatantly obvious lie, I canât believe he actually said that. Suuuuuuuuuure, you deliberately decided against it because you wanted your game to be different from CoD (not only different, but better! Less customization is better! Because CoD is for filthy casuals, right?). Has NOTHING to do with the fact that you were simply incapable of implenenting it properly before deadline, right?
This is was stings with such insult, that someone would honestly believe that people buy what he said.
Understandable as it might be, he is a PR-professional, he simply has to be above petty revenge. If I were like this with the clients in my professional life, I wouldnât have a professional life left. This is unacceptable and he needs to step up his game, and frankly, just grow up.
What wrongs? There is no wrongs being committed here.
Guy came at him in a tactless manner and he got a tactless response. I donât see the issue of either. The only issue here seems to be OP, who made the thread as a third party uninvolved basically and now gets upset on behalf of the Discord roaster who got roasted on Discord. Itâs basic off the cuff banter type of stuff. Happens all the time in the real world, too.
There seems to be this weird fixation on PR speakers being expected to be polite all the time. But if he gave those cookie cutter corporate speak responses, Iâm sure that would upset people here, too.
For being too impersonal probably.
Itâs probably not as much about the semantics as many here pretend anyway. It never is. The delivery may add insult to the injury, but without it thereâd still be the injury. The injury is that it seems no weapon attachment system is coming. And thatâs whatâs probably causing the foul taste in peopleâs mouthes, which that part I do understand. I would love that feature, too.
Thatâs not gaslighting.
Fixâd
CoD and Cod style gunsmith games usually go over the top with the attachments, but thereâs a lot of real world -easy- attachments that should be programmed into any modern gun game. One is the sighting system, another is a light or bayonet.
And whatâs more, is the attachment points are there in the game now, but if they work is another question. Still, having them is kind of irritating if/when you canât use them.
For example, see this circle? You know what that is?
That is a 1913 Picatinny rail. Itâs been used for over a hundred years as an attachment point for accessories, especially optics but also anything else you want to bolt on. You see them on almost everything.
Dat. Rails on a side of a recon lasgun that is, f.e.
I assume we are getting more deep weapons systems in a future.
What wrongs?
Someone was rude to him and he was rude back. His JOB is to interact with the community in a positive way. Heâs very bad at it. Câmon.
âGuy got approached in a snappy manner, guy responds in a snappy manner.â
Even if that were true, nobody is gonna remember 50 different John Doeâs that were snappy, but they will for sure remember Hedge being snappy 50 times. Thatâs 50 times an employee of a company gives bad rep to the said company
Your ass kissing is grating.
if i worked at fatshark i would make every single weapon we have now, one with bayonet, and with light and one with scope no way to detach it and make you all grind for it at shop or missions, that will give longevity to game if you want attachments
this topic is almost better then koren drama im watching, almost. have fun here i sure had.
I will be honest, though. I really really do find it funny.
This is top tier entertainment, better than any stale comedy show you get to see these days. Maybe this is Slaneesh taking over, but even these discussions here provide great excitement. Itâs the highlight of my day, nothing makes my grin wider.
Sincerely, thank you for being entertaining.
That is a good point. Nobody remembers John Doe, but everyone remembers Hedge.
I will give you that one. Well done.
Itâs grating to you because it isnât in approval of you.
But I will be fair and tell you that Iâm grateful for you having entertained this.
So youâre just trolling to get your rocks off?
Alright, well. Glad you got some enjoyment out of patronizing people. Hey, ever considered a career with Fatshark?
I firmly believe that hedge is CM because he functions as the perfect lightning rod for community antagonizing management decisions at fatshark. The fact that he behaves the way he does helps a lot though. Any company giving a modicum of a F about their community wouldnât have someone like him on be one of the prime communication channel between the devs and the customer.
