This update was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I even burned the mods folder after uninstalling, and I had quite a few mods.
I’m tired of the never ending nerfs and overall garbage tier development. Doesn’t matter what class you play, it’s competitive PvP game balance done wrong. Over and over again, pick your class, enjoy your nerfs. I knew I should have just waited a few years… These games are always a mess for awhile.
Maybe I’ll try the game out again in 3-5 years when/if all the garbage balancing is done. Maybe some actually cool 40k weapons will be in the game by then, and I can avoid being around when revolver gets sent back to it’s useless glory days.
Until then, VT2 is the better game anyways, and I’ve already got SM2 preordered!
Also, I hope you all enjoy the forthcoming time investment wipe that’s likely baked into the crafting update. And, also the eventual nerfs that will, if VT2 is any indicator, last for several more years. Someday though, they will figure out that they need to equalize the class stats like the various regen delays, rates, and iframes before they can really have much of a chance of balancing the stuff farther down the pipeline.
Yup. Fatshark’s nerfs are always heavy handed in nature. They ruin things then leave them in a shoddy state for years. I still can’t get over what they did to Moonfire bow or that recent nerf to Bounty Hunter.
you finished whinging yet? what was the point of this post? to cry about how the game isnt how you want it to be? first off, the CM’s dont even interact with us to even get feedback to the devs in a timely manner so youre yelling into an immensely uncaring void. secondly, who even are you? really? oh no this random dude burned his mods folder and whined online about what everyone has known since the first vermintide game. what ever will the devs (who will still be paid and still make content for darktide and vermintide) do??!?
ill see you once itemization comes around bro lmao.
The difficulty increase is clearly evident. Very sneaky to not mention the changes at all though. Nothing hurts rando lobby’s more than such low entry levels into Auric now. I see a lot of unfinished games happening. Oh well, people will adjust, more private games and organised lobby’s in the future I guess.
And me quitting if I suspect noobs, I ain’t carrying cause I’m not your pack mule.
I agree wholeheartedly with this post. I played the first year and then dropped the game. The development feels like its two unpaid interns working inbetween other work. More content gets developed in some Moddb projects done by some dude in his free time than by Fatshark as a company of 200 people. No content = people leave. People leave = low player base. Low player base = small minority of tryhands becomes the main focus group. They whine for nerfs because they’ve min-maxxed everything and the game is too easy for them. Nerf Nerf Nerf. As if this is a PVP game where you need to compare MUH NUMBERS with everyone else, and not a 40k power fantasy (Where a Powersword SHOULD cleave everything it touches) . In any case i agree with your conclusion i still lurk in for the laughs (sorry rejects the crafting update will come after summer LMAO) and just in case something changes and the company turns around. I have seen it happen with Crytek and Hunt Showdown.
Surely if betas are marketing ploys it’s extra concerning that they would cancel an upcoming beta because literally no section of the game is complete enough to be shown less than 3 months from launch
also there was an absolute mass of changes from the darktide beta lmao remember when it was a mad dash for crafting resources because only the person picking it up would get to keep it
