That’s the thing. All you guys will be coming back for Versus, while the rest of us will have an even harder time finding games to play, since everyone will be playing the new mode.

I know we said we wouldn’t be responding to any questions for now and leave them all for the future when we’re ready to talk more, but! We had to nip some rumors in the bud elsewhere, so we’ll make an exception and confirm this:
Versus will have its own separate balancing from the other game modes: if something is problematic in Versus specifically, then it will be changed for Versus specifically.

Well, that was within expectation. With the current average power level being above Cataclysm, it would be near impossible for the Pactsworn to kill the Heroes in Versus.

Praise Sigmuh! I really hope there will be an option to have private games. Me and the homies have been wanting a way to play vt2 (unmodded) when there’s more than 4 of us for so long.
Is Darktide gonna have a Versus mode too? Drop two teams and the Karnak Twins all into the arena together and have a total free for all

I will confess to being the original person excited for this and still am. I really hope you guys made it possible to play the fatties, I really want to flush people down the toilet.
Hopefully this leads to less noclipping in normal modes too.
Can’t say I’m all that hyped by a PvP mode in a game with such bad server issues.
But what does interest me is if any assets and rewards associated might somehow translate to new content for the rest of the game.
Like, say…assets for character using Ratling/Gloves/Warpfire might be reused and give more boring and vanilla careers like Huntsman the ability to temporarily pick up and use Skryre weaponry temporarily as a career perk.

There are no servers for Vermintide. You play p2p. If connectivity is bad, it’s either your connection or the host.
One of the good questions is, in fact, “will this mode have dedicated servers? And if not, how do you prevent a session from being closed because the host leaves?”
Game is like 5 years old or something, not like they changed game course on the 3rd day after release.
There was enough time to beat everything in the game, find some friends and enjoy V2 for hundreds of hours, even thousands. I have 1500 hours for example and made some friends i still play different games with. If you are late to the party, well, that’s just it. But even then there will be pve-only players anyway.
Pvp is the only thing can revive V2, even there is more soul in that game then in DT, DT is much more superior gameplay wise.
Versus in L4D is less about competitive PvP and more about being able to shoot your friends

One last consideration. Please separate chats between Horde and U5. I would highly recommend the teams be unable to communicate in game (chat/voice), for obvious reasons.
On the same topic, will our rats have some emotes so we can strike a pose when victorious?

I mean… its all cool and stuff, but what’s the point of reannouncing 4 years old idea, when you have absolutely nothing to present? I mean why not just wait, till (if) you actually release it, or at least till you have some solid gameplay proof, other than 4 years old trailer?
What’s the point of reannouncing it after 4 years, when you refuse to answer any question?
For me this is just a huge necro thread, but i don’t mean to be negative in any way.

At least give us a ETA? At least a year? I refuse to get hyped about something (again) that may just die (again), or may just be released in few years…
