Is it possible that versus could be an optional dlc for those of us who do not want to pvp, or is it integrated in to the game in such a way that it would not be an option. It would slim down the game install.
I was intending to play adventure mode and now am stuck with waiting on a 25gb download and install.

It would be great if FS could separate it, but I doubt they will. It seems to me last months (years) that they do everything to get as many negative reviews as possible by trying to force players to do something they do not want to do…
Oh, I thought that Versus actually was an optional DLC? I had to manually get it from the Vermintide 2 Steam Page, so I assumed thus! 
I’m pretty sure it is optional. But anyone who did the free beta has it automatically included from that.
Why are people here so keen on separating “themselves” from the PvP mode, that already is under a different tab in the main menu? Kind of makes me wince. What point are you trying to prove here?
25 GB is not the amount of space it takes, that’s the old patch size problem resurfacing.
Even if you have zero interest in the mode it’s kind of neat to have a new area of the keep, where you can hear that Hedda is now with the U5.
The coin rewards from various gifts and challenges can even afford you some hero pose or illusion.
It is about the game install size for those who do not pvp. Versus is not optional dlc where you can untick the box and remove it from the game, hence why the suggestion is to make it optional.
Nope. It just downloaded. Exactly as Chaos Waste etc did. I did not have to select it.
