Vermintide 2 - Patch 2.0.3.1

Wait… you’re 1 shotting hook rats with S&D? What power VS are you using? I haven’t been able to do this. Can’t even 1 shot SV with head shots.

I’ll just add to the voices saying that the change to stagger resistances were a tad too much.

I was bullying beastmen shamefully with only dual daggers :slight_smile:

Assassin trait and headshot = 40% bonus, had zero vs monster dmg. But that one light crit head shot attack (with dual swords) … which sent that hookrat flying … that was some crazy nonsense.

The changes are knee jerk and overcooked. Put stagger back up to somewhere in the middle values. Legend is easier now than pre 2.0. Don’t turn it into a joke please.

The nerfs were way too heavy handed. Stuff dies way too easily now compared to what launched with 2.0. It felt fine and it was a logical step up from Legend to Cataclysm.

Now the jump up just makes no sense.

That said, I was playing tonight and seemingly everyone in Legend pubs was absolutely braindead and were dropping like flies even after they blanket nerfed everything into oblivion. Pathetic and absolutely infuriating. Not sure how I even made it half way through Skittergate on 2.0. Lucked out with good players I guess. Either that or the heavy handed nerfs are making trash players think that they’re capable of running Legend because Champion is just too damn easy or something.

I’m literally going to have to go to a premade on Discord just to complete the utterly stupid “beat all the Lords to unlock Cataclysm” ****ing nonsense. ****ing pathetic.

Legend is still too hard. Maybe they could add some stagger resistence, but other things must still tuned down. Saying that now it is easier than pre 2.0 is just a lie.

And I know, now someone will say “git gud”, but honestly I haven’t problem to play Legend, the great majority of players, totally yep.

90% of the times, I’m the last hero alive (both as tank or dps)… one time I could play Legend solo. Currently no more.

I could accept this on Cataclysm (premade needed, low win ratio anyway, etc etc), but Legend should let expert players to farm… instead now it is just a second Cataclysm.

There are a lot of problems: tHP doesn’t exist, enemies have a lot of tracker and do unpredictable attacks, enemies spawn on you, on your back, enemies do more damage, you get hit also while dodge/push and anyway from enemies concealed behind hyperdensity, final event maps are just too much, dodge nerf is too heavy, beastmen overshadow other factions… and I could continue. Stagger is just the last problem.

@souI23

I have to agree. See my post above. lol

I don’t really know what the deal is. Quickplay has gone straight into the dumpster in terms of being able to reliably complete a full run. I played for about an hour and a half last night and for the life of me could not beat Skittergate on Legend.

I was the last alive on every run except for one where I sandbagged like an idiot and got killed by the Gatekeeper. But other than that I was having to carry the group every single time. I’ll be honest and say that I’m not good enough to solo on this build of the game. I could do it on previous live builds but that is no more.

I don’t really know what the solution is because 2.0 didn’t feel THAT bad to me. The issue is that we stand to see the death of Quickplay if the balance is too far out of whack.

As it stands right now there are seemingly WAY too many people trying to punch above their weight because of how easy Champion is now. And I will say that it is extremely easy to kill most enemies compared to how it was on 2.0. Chaos Warriors no longer feel like a threat and Stormvermin feel like wet tissue paper if you take anything that even remotely has Stagger power.

Exactly, they have increased the difficoulty in a wrong way… enemies like CWs are easier, but all seems just more random… it seems that your skill is less important.

There are some insights from a dev if you scroll down a bit. It’s open for all, not beta-only.

After a few runs on champion with randoms I can totally confirm that some encounters happen randomly and can be a total mess for the whole team. I still believe it depends on how the group interacts as a team.

BUT under some circumstances it is still a mess to keep everybody or at least one player alive.

And I tried Huntsman yesterday and he is a joke compared to others.

For example the following talent desperately needs tweaks: “Master Huntsman”. The idea is great but 3%? Are you serious?

With his little life pool it should be raised to minimum 10% and after a monster kill to let’s say 40%.

@Fatshark_Hedge

Hi. There was a small patch for the game that got released just now (12:12am; +8GMT). Can you kindly share the details for this one? Thank you!

Hmm, it wasn’t us I don’t believe. Perhaps workshop, maybe Steam redistributables?

Wish I could’ve taken a screenshot of it. It wasn’t a redistributable nor a mod workshop as well (no Steam Workshop logo below VT2 icon). Anyways, thanks for the response.

Ah it could have been a launcher update. Nothing dramatic to note :slight_smile:

We did update the launcher at around that time :slightly_smiling_face:
