Vacuum capsule/Cryonic rod lines spam

Will this get fixed, or people using it get banned? This is very annoying. Want to just hear a straight answer, ye or nah.

do you want it? I shared it quite a bit lately because cryonic rod is the real cultist truth hidden on Atoma. Relic, medicae station, medipack down. Cryonic rod!

I’d settle for an optional personal mute setting for non-standard voicelines, myself. Let people spam these other ones using the mod if they want, and let me not hear that spam if I want.

I made a thread about dialogue spam. These mods go against the rules laid out by Fatshark, since one of the rules is mods cannot affect another users experience. These mods straight up affect other users, such as youreself and myself, experience.

There are also more dialogue spam mods, that, luckily, are much more rare. These mods spam dialogue for when you are dangling off a ledge, or when a teammate walks too close to a DH. I hope something is done, but i doubt anything ever will be. Quite frankly, i dont think Fatshark has the guts to crack down on mods, nor do they care enough.

Pretty sound solution.

Also then brings the mod inline with guidelines:

Straight answer - “nah”

But if more people will talk about it being annoying and bad bad, then just maybe they will do something.
But still, there are people who use mods that can speed up their attack(BY A LOT) by switching weapons real fast, so Fatshark will probably do nothing about it

I guess I’ll have to explain again that the actual mod at question here has 5 second cooldowns on any one ‘slot’ of voice command, just like the base game and ‘for the emperor’ (the mod this was built on). Everything you want to spam with this mod, belongs to the act same slot of voice lines. In 3k hours I have never once seen people screaming about Daemonhosts, barrels, anything funny not listed exactly on the item list. I’ve seen some people screw around with the slotting to circumvent the cooldown, but they usually just use that to rap or spam the word ‘no’. And that was also before the coma rose was expanded, and I haven’t seen it since.

As for the solution, here you go!

Under the ‘Player Character’ section, turn off ‘Tag Item’. Be sure to enable most of the flags because by default it just silences the entire game.

I don’t mind. In fact, I find charming Ogryns saying complicated words.

Hearing vacuum capsule is fun until it stops being fun.

Also, people running around in underwear look goofy. The game should have an option to show them as default characters instead.

I do think spamming voicelines/target should have a slowmode once spammers hit a threshold.

My solution? 5-10 of the same icon spam or different Targets spam within 1 second would trigger a slow-mode disabling the sound for other players for 30 seconds to a minute.

A different options could be in the social menu. Next to the mute voice/mute chat could have a 3rd option, mute in-game callouts (targets and icons and player voicelines).

I see there is a mod, but I am vanilla and have friends who play on console, so I would prefer all this be in the main experience.

I would love to see this!

This would clearly be the best solution if possible.

A fake"cryonic rod" is typically just mildly annoying, because it’s often obvious that it’s fake. And yes, some voice line spammers are so oppressive that you’re better off pulling the plug, but those are rare (thankfully). The worst ones are those who fall somewhere in the middle, where it’s genuinely hard to tell if they’re trolling or not. I personally operate with a three strikes system. From the third fake call that impacts my gameplay, I treat them like they don’t exist.
