I’ve been testing a few build ideas, and I found an edge case that feels like it should work but currently doesn’t. I’ve been wanting to find an easier way to land rev Heavy 2 attacks (the vertical heavy) on the mk. III Eviscerator- a move that requires rev > push > heavy charge inputs- and so I tried taking advantage of the new Unfaltering talent, which allows you to run while holding heavy charge attacks. When I set up rev Heavy 2 and then tap Shift to sprint, the attack cancels and switches to Heavy 1, the horizontal attack. I don’t seem able to sprint with Heavy 2 charged on this weapon mark. I’m using Toggle Sprint, not hold sprint.
I’m not sure where else to post this feedback, apologies if this is the wrong forum. Thank you for your time!
A ton of weapons have this behavior, but a ton also don’t. It’s unfortunate that it’s inconsistent and I don’t see a logic to it either. I agree it should be consistent and not reset your attack cycle
I prefer the more complex movesets to the more straightforward ones. My favorite weapon is the mk. II Relic Blade. Accessing Heavy 2 with an alt rev-up has been a sticking point for a long time, I was hoping this new talent would open that routing up.
Could be that mk3 eviscerator doesn’t have sprint allowed on H2, some weapons don’t allow sprinting while attacking or charging heavies based on a few patch notes I’ve seen.
@FatsharkQuickpaw could you prod one of the devs about this and confirm? You may want to add conditions under the “no movement speed penalties while charging heavies” talents that allow sprinting during attacks that normally don’t have sprinting allowed.
EDIT: While we’re at it, also see about the missing chains on that mark between H1 and L2. The unusually long time to chain those can’t just be a coincidence, and it results in an optimal CC combo of HLLL instead of the expected HL.
