Common issues faced when making Havoc teams at various levels and attempting plays with friends at different Havoc levels, and what I think should be done about it:
- Need ability to launch havoc missions at lower ranks already cleared.
No ability to select a particular Havoc level below those already cleared in case I want to play with lower ranked friends. Say I want to play Havoc 15 with a lower clearance friend, I can’t pick this level even while having cleared Havoc 40 myself.
- If I am inviting, I should have ability to remove players again.
No ability to remove/kick toxic players, or other reasons, before game launch. You invite someone you’re stuck with them and have to leave group and re-invite friends if you want to play without this person. If you are the one inviting, you should have the power to remove/kick people you don’t want to play with.
- I need to know who is preventing the mission from launching.
“Player is not eligible…” Okay, but who? If I am trying to launch a Havoc mission it should tell me who (and if it’s more than one guy) is preventing mission launch.
- The person who is preventing the mission from launching needs to know too.
“Player is not eligible…” The person should be made aware with a nice fat red sign in the middle of his screen that he cannot enter a Havoc mission and is preventing the mission from launching, why he can’t enter a Havoc mission, and what he needs to do to fix the problem. If the problem is he has an ongoing assignment, he should be told in fat bold red letters in the middle of his screen, with the option to “cancel assignment” button just below it, to fix the problem.
- Need ability to abort a mission that is in the countdown stage if a person ragequits while we pick builds/weapons.
At higher Havoc levels, players leaving (even while disincentivized) is still a problem and can absolutely tank a mission because you need everyone alive
