Turning off bots in private games so that we don't have to grief other players to earn cosmetics (frustrating issue with ai)

Hey, my quick feedback is that I think a lot of players would be happy to see an option to turn off the bots autofill when the custom lobbies are finally added. I’m excited for hosting missions because of two things. I tried some of my penances away from other players but they just keep joining in and I can do nothing about it. It just sucks that I have to rope other players into my challenges and waste their time griefing the experience. That’s why we need custom lobbies but like I previously mentioned please consider allowing our groups to not be autofilled with bots. These are braindead to be blunt and kill, stagger and disrupt any order within the ranks of the enemies that you create in order to get your penances done. Just imagine these scenarios that happened to me not so long ago.

  1. Want to get 20 headshot kills? The bot kills someone with a lasgun when you just scored 15 heads in a row and now you have to start over.

  2. Want to get the 100% accuracy penance? The bot pushes/stagers something and you have to quit the mission and host a new game.

I hope moments like these are taken into the consideration when adding the private lobbies/hosting games or whatever you will call it. Thanks

Bots are surprisingly productive when you don’t want them to be lol

A few little solutions/workarounds
Just let your bots die off. If a new player joins they’ll instantly pop up not needing a rescue. Darktide has fixed the issue where rescue-able players can be lost forever if you go past a point of no return like the other tide games.

Head shot kills can be done with brainbursts

most people seem to do the 100% accuracy on assassination missions only using their gun to unload into the boss at the end

also the game either counts the bot you replace’s missing ammo or won’t award it to you if you don’t play a mission from start to finish, probably to makesure you’re not just rejoining at the end of a mission. So make sure you queue into a brand new game.

daemon-hosts count as monsters, so you can get an ogryn buddy with a shield to tank the abuse while you brain burst them down

I didn’t know you could get the “20 headshots in a row” penance with Psyker! This will help make things a lot easier. I did the 100% accuracy one just like you described it except I brought a shotgun so that it’s harder to miss. I also cut my ammo in half by killing myself before the assassination and then being rescued before the fight (I asked my teammates if I could do that beforehand).
