Hello im doing this post cause my Darktide is kinda unplayable atm, im suffering with micro stutters whenever i open menus such as crafting, melk and so on.
Even pressing esc is tedius.
Ive done it all such as tweaking my pc, limiting my frames, reinstalling, trying the beta thing in steam, nothing seems to work.
Thats crazy, its happening only in darktide since ive tried multiple games and im getting no stutters at all, i might fear its my pc but i dont think so
Ill put some of my spec below
CPU> Ryzen 5 7600X
RAM> 32GB DDR5 6000MHZ
GPU> RTX 4070 SUPER 12GB GDDR6X
And 2 ssd 1TB each
even as lowering my res to 1080p playing with nvidia image scaling im getting plus 300 fps smooth but with those stutter
I cant post a video cuz the file is too big
I really need help lmao
If you have low quality texture issues following this you can turn off Mesh Streaming to improve things further Low quality assets - #12 by styky
Please let me know if this helps, apologies if you go through all of it and not much changes.
There are many people with stuttering and most of them donāt bother to come post about it, if we can find a definite fix maybe Fatshark will do something to fix it for everyone.
Thanks iāll try it rn
even tho the cause was frame gen being on, such a strange thing
but now im stucked playing without it
Im gonna try this solution
You might benefit from this post. Vizra and I were trying to figure out why performance is so iffy for AMD GPUs but Nvidia users seem to benefit from the config file changes too.
Yes, this is the case. Iāve just released another post showing and outlining that the game doesnāt have fullscreen optimisations enabled. You can also enable this by change a false to true in the win32_setttings.ini - post here
Hope this helps. Iāve spent about 50% of my free time the last 5 weeks really digging into this all.
Thanks guys it does kinda feel better even tho ill get some stutters whenever i open menus and stuff like that, the problem seems to be frame gen being on, i guess im the only one with this problem lol
The reason menus stutter is because they are not cached at all and so get loaded off the hard drive.
If you have a system with 32gb of RAM there is a mod called DarkCache that fixes all the issues with menus. It just takes more system resources and can cause more stuttering if your PC canāt handle it
