Trauma Staff sucks on stairs

Issue Type (Required):

Weapons

Issue Description (Required):

Some stairs in the game are not completely solid, but instead made of little metal slats. This effect is most easily observed in Metalfab 36, and gives them the unique property of being able to be shot through.

The Trauma Staff’s secondary attack fires an invisible “projectile” that goes in an arc. Where it lands determines where the explosion will happen when you attack. This is the reason you can explode enemies behind short walls.

The combination of these traits results in a very annoying interaction where the Trauma Staff just fails to activate on stairs half the time for no reason at all. There should be clipping on these stairs specifically for the Trauma Staff to prevent this.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play as a Psyker with Trauma Staff. Queue into a Metalfab 36 map.
  2. Use staff on stairs.
  3. Observe effect.
  4. Die.

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

This magic wand is also my least favorite. It was very annoying in Vermintide2.

I wonder why my favorite laser and Gatlin wand in Vermintide2 didn’t join the darktide. It’s just a simple code change.

Even like other games, it’s okay to charge up and shoot a subspace fireball with a range of 40 meters in a parabolic trajectory, which is much better than what it is now

Alwasy has, sadly.

This, honestly. I’d love to countersnipe a snipers red beam with a blue one, only to have it burst it right in his smug face.
