Toughness is useless on higher difficulties (“Malice” upwards). I understand that higher difficulty enemies do more damage but the fact that toughness on those difficulties evaporates in matter of seconds makes the game less enjoyable. Yes i take cover but that doesn’t stop all the melee grunts from rushing me pushing me out of cover to be shredded by all the ranged grunts or vice versa. I feel like a there should be more ways to get toughness other then staying together, killing enemies, or equipping the toughness feats. If not, changes to the toughness mechanic would be nice.
