Ever since the update toughness has been kinda bad, the bleedthrough makes toughness almost useless for the job its meant to take which is taking up the small chip damage that the lil guys throw at you. I still prefer the system over temp health but due to the bleedthrough building into toughness just doesn’t seem useful at all.
My hope is that this change is reverted to that of pre-update toughness.
I agree. The whole point of toughness and its replenishment was so that melee could continuously fight and it rewarded the player for fighting harder (a la doom eternal).
By adding in bleedthrough melee is almost worthless now unless you can guarantee you can’t get hit (nearly impossible). It also makes classes that rely mostly on toughness much weaker.
I think they put it in because before melee was overly strong, but there’s better ways to nerf melee without making it inferior to ranged.
i agree with this, if the bleedthrough started to proc at say 50% toughness i’d be totally fine with it as it would still reward toughness builds without making them near useless.
