Time trials i mean training dummy 2.0

buried in an old thread thats about something else @MagnusTheRed gave me an idea.

Time trials!
a set repeatable run designed for a solo player to repeat, and go for score/time each trial featuring different rooms and challenges that test and stress different aspects of your build loadout. they could have leaderboards.

could even have tools for the users to make up thier own course and share them across teh workshop, in game they could be training courses set up to train troops.

I’d highly prefer chaos wastes 2.0 over this. Never been a fan of time trials. I do support randomized rooms and map layouts though.

yeah i was more thinking of a replacement for the training dummy, a place to go and see how well different load outs and builds worked in different settings.

I like it. Reminds me of WoM runs, which were awesome fun (if badly balanced).

i get that there’s a crowd for time based leader-boards but I’ve never was a fan, i just consider it unfun if i could easily beat whatever the game throws at me but then be inadequate at doing so in time.

i think its way more fun if the things the game throws at me, are harder to begin with.

so im not against solo challenges where one can prove his/her mettle.
if its timegated its not my cup

yeah i really picked the wrong title  i was thinking of a practice corridor had say a squad of ranged a couply of heavy melee etc something to test each part of a build and you could use it practice see how different weapons did , really was more thinking updated training dummy

i thought i leave this here it shows some insights on what training area holds for us

No. Nothing timed please. Absolutely no.

@Padds Would time trails end up incentivizing a rush and hurry up style of play? Time Trials seem highly competitive, and you’re right, they can help refine builds or mechanics but I feel like this is for a Call of Duty style shooter. Plus most TT’s i’ve played have a specific loadout to complete it, so there is no wiggle room with different loadouts, but I could be wrong.

For me, trying maps on lower difficulties is a good way to stress certain builds and loadouts.

In the far and distant future to dlc content for darktide I would agree with @Spazz.
