Time to Uninstall Darktide

Yeah I’m out and uninstalling, possibly for good. As I’ve said before, this update would be a make or break moment for FS and they’ve released yet another underwhelming patch/content drop with more problems than good. If they “fix the game” at some point down the line, cool, maybe I’ll have chilled out by then and can enjoy it, if not, whatever.

I uninstalled on the 25th when the comms-link was posted

it’s almost as if they really view their “customers” and “community” as really being Rejects and feel they can do anything without consequence in reference to player agency. Not even commenting on the biggest points of contention is all you need to know to understand there are no eff’s given on their side.

cheers and good luck to those of you what would fight the good fight

To say that this update was soul crushing is an understatement. I am the only one left in my group of friends that has this game installed and actively plays.

Check his post history you’ll see he’s been here for a long time, active on the forums. Providing feedback and being part of the community. I recognise his name from many debates back on forth here in the last six months. Most of those guys are gone now.

Just people like you left here soon lol

@Mezmorki most of us who have left probably pop in and lurk now and again to see if anything’s changed. Take it easy dude.

lol

I will  Got some other games to look forward to (Boltgun, Diablo 4, Rogue Trader) plus a bunch of other hobbies and stuff to work on as we swing into Summer. So it’s all good. Hopefully by this time next year things will be changed for the better. Cheers.

I’ve heard a lot of people talking about Diablo 4. I’ve never played any of the Diablo games but they do at least somewhat pique my interest. My main problem is how do people trust Act Blizz to actually make and maintain a good game? Why are people still supporting them in any way? I legitimately don’t get it. If Diablo 4 is a return to form and is amazing that’s awesome, but trusting them in any capacity at this point leaves a pit in my stomach.

Yeah, I’m waiting a bit until after release to see how it goes with Diablo 4. I have friends who are jumping on it that I trust to give it a fair shake first.

FWIW, if you’ve never played a Diablo game, Diablo 2: Resurrected is the remastered version of DT2 and its freaking fantastic. Cross-play between PC and Switch (I think it might be on other console ports too). The graphics are still a bit of a throw back style-wise, but it’s all in HD resolution now and looks good. Gameplay wise, it holds up great. Phenomenal game.

I totally skipped Diablo 3 because it was going in a weird direction. If Diablo 4 is indeed a swing back towards D2 that’s great IMHO.

I bought Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on steam during the sale a few weeks ago and was having such a blast that I instantly uninstalled DT and never looked back. I only check the forums once in a while to have a good chuckle

Excellent game.

I’ve been playing a gaggle of other co-op shooters. Aliens Fireteam Elite, Back4Blood, Starship Troopers Extermination, EDF. They all bring interesting ideas for progression and structure, and they definitely feel less player hostile than Darktide does at the moment.

I haven’t bought anything from activision/blizz since COD black ops and Overwatch on release, I’ve have always had a healthy distrust of those companies.

with regards to diablo 4 what I’ve played of the game so far is very polished and promising but if RNG isn’t your thing stay away lol. It will 100% be very monetized and hamster wheely after some time, so getting too invested in it may leave anyone feeling a bit dirty.

EDF6 for PC when?

If I ever get that, it’ll be on sale. The fact that they said “the battlepass/premium currency will ONLY be for cosmetics”, then went and added a paid XP booster, has left me feeling pretty dirty about it already.

Hopefully sometime this year but probably more within the next 2.

Right there with you.
Clocked hundreds of hours into this game between ‘‘beta’’ and post launch.
Every update feels more like shoring up core aspects and features that just reminds me as to how bare bones and unfinished this game was on release and how LONG of a way it has to go before it meets the expectations set by the creators.
Tried to play the game some time ago and got nothing but crashes and I wasn’t even mad, I was just resigned.
I championed this game hard and told all my friends about it.
I was psyked hearing about the writing talent brought on.
The combat loop and aesthetics remains some of the finest a 40K game has ever been.
Shame that the package it comes in is just more broken promises and half assery that plagues games in the 40K IP.
Time to uninstall.

How do you feel about the crafting specifically @Shahbaz ? Need to see if you qualify to join the order.

Same, not played the game in a while.

@FatsharkCatfish it would be nice if you [I mean Fatshark] could at least aknowledge our concerns.
We understand things are being worked on. But we are pretty much early access supporters and without us the already thin playerbase would just vanish.

The frustrations have just led me to give up. Plenty of games this summer. DT will just be on the backburner

It has been acknowledged, nut not in an announcement post. There are plenty of answers spread out between random posts in this forum, reddit, discord and twitch streams. Not sure about steam forums.

I agree with you that a clear acknowledgement should be made as part of a dev blog though. Would probably save everyone a bit of headache.

Locks specifically is apparently something that they are discussing, but not much more info than that. In one response it was phrased as something they’re looking at finding a solution for.
