It would be really cool to add such feature, adding the ability to inspect our char in third person during quests like it was in Vermintide I, Vermintide II.
It should be the same for Darktide as well, I think it is nice to put it back because it could be used to inspect the environment, inspecting the level design of maps ect.
and also it would make sense, because it would give us the ability to see our premium skins or not, in the field.
