There is someone on our ship trying to stay alive

Grandpa Brahams..the Biologist has been working on him and Kayex believes this is whats decaying the Mourningstar.

The ship is damned.

Is this what truely brought us to Atoma, to find a cure for life? Has someone on the ship been twisted by the Grandfather?

Why is the Mourningstar Damned?

Why has no one seen Grendyl?

And how can a Quartermaster Ogryn go missing?

Surrounded and gaurded by Xenos while Purging the likes of shadows. What will the next chapter bring after the Arbitrators restore the Tithe?

Gramps claims he is “saving” the ship, even now. And appears to be… sleeping, but always watching? That one conversation was weird. Not sure Kharib’s experimentations are on him directly though?
Eldar are somehow involved.
Genestealers might be involved.

Damn, Brahms’ memories bring up a lot more questions than answers…

The question is when, and potentially where.

The mentioning of Eldar is interesting. People talk about new classes, but what if one was an Aeldari?

Grendyl is either Wolfer or conspiring with him, the dark knowledge in the Grims we retrieve are used by the Cult to weaken the barrier between real space and the Warp. The next phase is Pestilence, the Grandfather’s blessings on Atoma. That’s my theory.

They are taking notes from Owlcat, which is very nice to see. I think seeing an Eldar onboard the Mourningstar would pop a few blood vessels in the Arbitrators neck, along with the Commissar. But trading with them in the shadows, giving them Grims for intel, Id be curious how much work Hallowette is dealing with. Doesnt she take on a mission without anyones permission at some point?

The narrative is very interesting, I am currently reading the Ciaphas Cain novels and its very heavy into Genestealer cults (2 of the first 4 books). So I do see more strings that can attach to a GSC infiltration on Mourningstar rather than having Eldar. We need Arbitrator Zorin/Swagger/Grendyl to take of their helmet/mask or else I will remain suspicous until I make sure they dont have any mutations.

Yea, its tough, especially when you can see an evolving narrative in HD2 new maps missions trailers monlthy. The growth of Nurgle on maps would be nice to see. Ive suggested such events a few years ago. The rejects keep going back to the same locations, they should be decaying…

I do agree that Grendyl does have some sway (swayygger!?) In dealings with Wolfer but the main storyline with Wolfer, to me, is that he is brother to Zola. Thats the whole Zola meltdown finding the twins quest and why Rannick is highly suspicious she will fall back on saving her family and potentially Damning the ship efforts, which Rannick is in charge and takes the blame for when Arbitrators show up, over doing her job.

The story is setup for Wolfer to have a reveal, possible become a turncoat from turncoat and repent, in any case, he needs to die and the reaction from Zola is what can become troubling, she may fall to chaos from the turmoil or do something crazy. I think Morrow can snap her out of it if it comes to that.

Agree, the Karnak twin will be back mutated and in control of admonition.

With new enemies I hope. The Genestealer cult theory is also intriguing, a three way battle between Imperium, Nids and Chaos for Atoma would certainly be a wild turn of events.

I don’t think it likely, but I haven’t heard anyone even think of the possibility.

They have lore writers who could explain it, though. I mean, the Zealot should by all rights be trying to kill the Psykers half the time, when they’re sarcastic about the God Emperor, or when the one character talks about their “beloved”. You know a Zealot would not believe it’s the emperor and would assume it’s a daemon.

Gameplay > Lore, even 40k does this frequently, working with Eldar when it’s necessary.

That said, I do not believe it will happen, because their entire weaponset would have to be made from scratch. It’s just an interesting thought.
