The Traitor Curse Part 1 Anniversary Update

Nice, alright I’ll give it a shot.

Time to dust off the old bolter. What melee you rocking, powersword?

If its fun I shall amend my statement lol

Since bolter is slow to swap it makes you vulnerable already, better take high mobility melee (i prefer devil’s claw or chainsword), also for no keystones build take frag nades, cause krak to survivalist takes 1 more node.

Even with this, the surge staff was only just okay, please take a look at the surge staff. It’s very bad.

I agree. The Surge staff was fun to play recently. Now it goes back in the broom closet. Thanks FS! (not really)

A lot of good changes here, but the Veteran talent tree feels like a straight downgrade from the previous version. I hope it will be reevaluated in the near future.

I enjoyed the banter in Ascension Riser, although for the new map I prefer the more straitlaced Morrow/Wolfer dialogue. The Hallowette/Melk version is still good tho

Surge staff feels like it needs a big buff now, you reduced the number of targets and a full charge does…620 damage!? Smite does garbage damage that wont kill anything higher than some chaff, which is intended. I get the bug fix was to something not intending to be that “powerful” but now it feels like the surge staff either needs to hit more targets, which makes no real sense when smite exists OR buff surge staff damage so psyker has an alternate tool for dealing with specials that ISNT brain burst. Sure voidstrike staff is ok but if we all use voidstrike staff fatshark will just nerf that too knowing how they handled siena in V2.

Also tried out the keystones for Vet and focus really makes no sense, you NEVER stand still enough to benefit from this perk. I think the right keystone is “ok” but none of the keystones really benefit veteran in a way that compliments HOW you build him. Sure focus gives ranges crit damage but you HAVE to keep moving to keep up with randoms or be left behind. The right tree is all about stealth so why make a keystone that forces you to switch weapons for a benefit? That’s not really going to help IMO. I havent tried the middle keystone yet there.

Also Fatshark can ogryn please get a patch to some of the chest pieces to HAVE A SHIRT under the armor? Nobody likes half naked ogryn and the broken helmets are also annoying. This isn’t necromunda underhive.

Edit because I really should keep it to one post.

I really REALLY hope Fatshark considers using the end arena for a horde mode, Vermintide 1 had a kick ass survival/horde mode and I have been craving a decent horde mode in the series ever since. We really need some more social activities where we can kill heretics and chill without having to just linger in a mission.

Another thing I would love to see is let us go to the bar on the morningstar and play cards or arm wrestle with eachother, just more social elements outside of “emotes”.

I think adding new maps is the right direction, we really need more maps to play and pref more maps also in rotation at a given time so we’re not playing smelter 5 times in a row.

speak for yourself :stuck_out_tongue:

I hear you, I’m not sure we would rollback at this period in time - but I will be sure to give your feedback and see what I can do about changes going forward!

Even if the dev team is unwilling to roll back the change to the Vet tree, a lot of us (I’m sure) would still ask that you at the very least mention this as a highly requested “solution” to the current problem. Because even if such a solution is rejected, it paints a very clear picture of how the community feels about this update that they’re willing to immediately return to a talent tree that many of us already found bad or at the very least lackluster over what we have now.

So when presenting your feedback, please do not omit the desires for a roll back from some of the community. Thank you!

There are changes that were made that are not in the patch notes. For example, the Veteran’s “Fire Team” Aura used to only give 3% damage to the team. It now gives 5%.

To get it to work you have to gimp yourself by basically removing all of your talents so you have the basic grenade box. I did it on a malice mission and asked the fellas i was playing with to let me kill the corrupter eye.

Trench Drill or whatever it’s called was reduced down to a THIRD of what it was. Not one mention of it in the patch notes. Not ONE.

*BY a third. Sorry to be pedantic but that wording bothers me.

@alsozara

k.

You know, I did also say other things in my statement as well that I think might have had some merit, rather than merely serving as just a target for your pendantry scanner :frowning:

Succinct. This sums up my feelings as well.

Makes absolutely no sense, since we already have both fsr 1 and 2.

I don’t think what I said suggested otherwise. Omission means agreeance without anything to add generally :+1:
