Currently, maelstrom missions have too much fluff and has me feeling like im playing the same thing over and over again. It’s easy to feel this way because after you look at the modifiers, you’re ACTUALLY just playing the same thing.
Maelstrom Missions I-E and I-III
From those 2 main maelstroms, there’s many more maelstroms created from them that has me feeling like its the same stuff without any meaningful change in gameplay. You add or take away: III-hunting grounds, IV-snipers, IX-poxbursters, E-nurgles, D-barrels, F-cooldown, G-enhanced blitz and its still same ish boring difficulty
Combinations of dogs, muties, barrels, cdr, etc dont change anything. this makes up more than half of the playlist and factor in the random rng mission board and you can bet you’re gonna see them alot.
A solution: SIMPLIFY. we dont need the base missions like I-III and I-E spawning like 7 other missions with meaningless modifiers that leave you feeling like its the same damn thing. Like why is there a I-E-F if I-E exists. or I-IX-E-F, I-III-VII-F, D-I-IV-IX-G, D-III-VII-IX-G. These are just examples, maybe you guys come up w/ a better solution because this maelstrom playlist absolutly sucks.
The chances of a I-II-V-E-G or J-I-II-IV mission showing up is slim to none. Like actually, why does that base maelstrom (I-II) only get 2 varients that are so rare. Make more of that. Maybe replace the V in V-E-G and have a mostly dreg version of that maelstrom which is currently on of the harder if not hardest one.
IDK, forum folks come up with something, anything is better that what they have layed out before us. The maelstrom list is dogwater and could use some change. Doesnt have to be insane or time intensive, just simplify
