The new gating system is a start, but doesn't go far enough

Never said I couldn’t, I have done so many times. I just hate carrying way under levelled players when they should know better.

This really. Having level 500 weapons doesn’t say everything, but it at least signals that the player isn’t entirely clueless about how the game functions.

You misunderstand them on a fundamental level.

They do know better but they are incentivised to join higher difficulties because the risk /rewards assessment is greatly in their favour.

One easy solution: stay behind the slower players. It’s what I do when biking with slower people, so I don’t have to look behind me constantly. :nerd_face:

The real drama is to inflict 10x Damn missions to unlock auric on accounts with existing H40 clears…sure let me enjoy the utterly empty map of Damnation 10 times, the definition of fun

Yeah idk, you would be waiting 30 min on people sometimes. Unless you set the pace some of those malice clears would be double an auric in clear time.

Of coarse, everyone needs to rush at your pace instead of taking a normal pace to do things and enjoy their time in the game.

Yup. Regular damnation is an easy solo attainable by a large portion of the player base. Auric solo difficulty varies by modifiers, but usually isn’t too bad either.

Yep :)… I have a RL buddy (veteran VT2 and DT player) return to the game for the 'Beetus class. We PLed him from 1-30 in about 6 hours running Auric missions, and it a good time. He had a bunch of resources, so he’d just buy whatever curious was available and one of the perks to +10% experience every 8 levels or so…

He kept up with me just fine, and had a great time breezing through the matches. The secret is mastering the fundamentals. I don’t know why so many people reject that premise when it demonstrably true :expressionless:

Yeah, this indicates poor game design more than anything else.

Speed running should never be an option in any game really.

I have no problem, with oeople wanting to do things as quick as possible, but it should be at the expense of screwing over the other players, bypassing the game etc.

It should be down to great team work, tactics etc and dealing with what the game throws at you.

you cant work as a team though with people that are not your equal in terms of skill and performance.

the very definition would imply everyone at 25%contribution when in reality in about EVERY match theres at least this one dude i’d like as an ogryn grab by the collar and toss into the airlock to get moving.

people stay back whacking at endless rear spawns for what?
they dont get more xp out of it aint they werent strolling for ressources, 10 meters from the airlock playing whack a mole.

same reason when leveling arbites, buddy pirx and me made a duo until maelstroms for in 10-12 minutes tops we’d see that sh!t done without any stragglers and lollygaggers.

no comedic relief in guiding 2 blind mice through the kiddy pool either, just anger, resentment and frustration.

then again, any account thats cleared up until havoc 40 should have a token somehwere and insta-kit a new class.

build and loadout gets fine tuned not until auric maelstrom anyways, cause up until then nothing has a tangible impact on how fast/efficient you progress based on the lack of obstacles put in your way :man_shrugging:
