i think it’s more elite breakpoints than specials myself, specials are fine BP wise. They’re dangerous enough without needing everyone to take twice as long to kill them.
Elites getting nuked out of all the hordes in the game is worse, they’re generally not potential run enders on their own.
That could also work, just something to differentiate it from Handgun/Crossbow.
I don’t mind some one shot potential on the left clicks considering the charge time between each shot, the right click burst damage potential seems more problematic.
DRG m1000 could be some good inspiration, spammy weaker right clicks but stronger, more accurate, slower fire-rate, higher ammo consumption left clicks.
yea watching the dwarf clean out every elite in a horde before they get to me is pretty uhhhh

I think they should make it like Bolt.
Left click rapid fire low dmg shots
Hold right click for ~1 sec then you can fire pin point accuracy shots with left click with 0.5-1 sec intervalls. Keep the same damage as now. Or remove the delay and significantly lower body shot damage but up the HS dmg, something like 4-5 HS for CW and 1 HS for CV (close range). Might be too strong though.
Or just make it BoP dwarf edition.
That one thing I can definitely agree with. Hammer overhead deals damage comparable to 2nd lvl charge of pick, it seems to deal same damage but faster with horizontal swings…

I’m OK with how the Masterwork Pistol feels and I’m OK with it’s ammo capacity too (given that Ranger/Engineer both get 50% more ammo than Ironbreaker), but the damage is a bit excessive (without properties/traits) imo. I never math’d out the numbers for how much I feel it should be lowered, but I know where I’d like it to be. Currently, my problem isn’t one-shotting Stormvermin on Cataclysm, or Maulers, it’s bosses. The thing shreds bosses to the point where any Masterwork-Pistol-Capable-Bardin-class is a supreme boss killer. In fact, I had a difficult time getting one of the Engineer-achievements because a boss would die in much less than 30 shots haha. I had to fight a troll and let it regen a bunch.
Right now, shooting an Armored/Skaven (dummy) in the body does 8600, and shooting a Chaos/Infantry (dummy) does 7175 in the body with no properties boosting it or Enhanced Power. I think I’d like the damage lowered to a point where we would need to make the decision “Do I run Armored/Skaven/Enhanced-Power to one-shot body-shot Stormvermin (within range) on Cataclysm? Or do I run something else?”.
So, I guess what I’m saying is, a 15%-ish power decrease might be an OK nerf, still keeping it very viable for bosses and elites, but deleting bosses a bit slower. It would then deal 7300 by default to Armored/Skaven and force you to run somewhere over a 20% boost total (10% vs Armored / 10% vs Skaven / Enhanced Power) to one-shot body-shot Stormvermin on Cataclysm. It would still one-shot Stormvermin on Legend by default anyway, while forcing you to build “properly” to achieve other goals on Cataclysm.
I still want the weapon to be Bardin’s most powerful ranged option damage-wise, as the delay in it’s normal-shot, paired with it’s damage drop-off/accuracy at range makes it risky to use up close and risky to deal with specials semi-far-away, but it should be rewarding if you pull it off well.

Yeah, he’s still insane on Cata and Cata+.
Him and Grail Knight are pretty much the best Careers in terms of survival and killing power.
By Cata+, are you referring to official content such as Weaves, deeds and Twitch mode or modded content such as DWONSC3?
I haven’t done Weaves, so everything else you mentioned.
I think WHC has a better time with killing things on C3 DW because of Killing Shot and the increased enemy health, while also having better defense because of Eternal Guard and Charmed Life/Cast Away (only really misses the dash ult), with Zealot losing a lot of cleave breakpoints with AnF. Did you know vs a Chaos/Beastmen horde on Cata 3 Deathwish optimal dps for the Axe and Falchion is heavy attacks even on Zealot? It’s pretty funny.
Not saying Zealot isn’t good and still super strong in outright silly ways, I just want to make sure WHC being even more op in the grand scheme of things and scaling absurdly well (and from the sentiments I’ve seen, not all that likely to be nerfed much outside of Flense) stays on the radar, mostly because the main balance discussion focuses have been on BW and Shade.
