Okay.
You NEED to change the kick system to something like in Vermintide WITHOUT the pop-up.
Just had a teammate get angry he died, so, he proceeded to spam kick attempts during a horde, almost resulting in a complete wipe before the rest of us could get to removing him instead.
The fact that he can even do that is baffling.
The system needs to change and soon, too.
This has become the new tantrum tactic. This or the Demon host and bail. Be sure to block the person before you vote kick them… otherwise the crappy social tab will never show who they were.
These types of players will weed themselves out over time. They will get frustrated enough with “everyone sucking” and stop playing. We just need to be patient and do what we can until then. It still needs to change as you say.
As an aside, you just made me realize how awesome it would be to change the Daemonhost to only aggro’ing if TWO players come into proximity of it at the same time. I’m sure we could easily justify this with the lore reasons/tutorial addition/callouts. You could make it invulnerable unless it has proxy spotted 2 players or been damaged by 2 players within a short time of each other, to still allow pulling at range.
I mostly agree, but in its current activation form/function, I think it’s more frustrating than it is challenging. I don’t find auto-wipes due to bots aggro’ing/trolls aggro-ing/audio + visual bugs preventing detection to be challenging nor satisfying to overcome.
I can solo it on any char if I have the right boxes/map-pathing around me as a backup plan, but that’s not guaranteed. I could still cheese the DH and the whole game by auto-crouch-slide-macro’ing, but that’s gimmicky, unintended, ruins the atmosphere, and trivializes the whole game.
That’s why I was trying to suggest anti-troll/anti-buggy counters for the DH, without suggesting removal nor nerfing in the traditional sense. Just an opinion/suggestion set though.
